Ray Reidy
Raymond Reidy (1937 – 10 June 2015) was an Irish hurler who played as centre-back for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Thurles, County Tipperary, Reidy first played competitive hurling during his schooling at Thurles CBS. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team. He joined the senior panel during the 1956 championship. Reidy was a regular member of the team over the next few years and won one All-Ireland medal and one Munster medal as a non-playing substitute. At club level Reidy was a two-time championship medallist with Thurles Sarsfields. Reidy's retirement came following the conclusion of the 1960 championship. In retirement from playing Reidy became involved in team management and coaching, serving as a selector with the Tipperary senior team. Liam Reidy
Liam Reidy (1924 – 15 February 2007) was an Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Éire Óg and was a member of the Kilkenny senior inter-county team from the 1940s until the 1950. Biography Liam Reidy was born in Kilmacow, County Kilkenny in 1924. He was educated at the local national school and later attended the famed St. Kieran's College in Kilkenny, a virtual nursery for young hurling talent. Here Reidy began his hurling career in earnest and collected a Leinster junior colleges' championship medal with St Kieran's. Following his education Reidy was the founder of the highly successful Reidy Insurance Business on Parliament Street in Kilkenny. Mary Reidy
Mary Anne Reidy (1880–1977) was a New Zealand civilian and military nurse, community leader. She was born in County Clare, Ireland in 1880. Reidy served as a nurse for the New Zealand military from January 1916 to December 1918. The next 26 years of her life were spent attempting to preserve the hospital at Kawhia and ensuring the welfare of returned soldiers. She became a widely respected figure in her community. Reidy died on 17 January 1977. Early life Reidy was born on 17 June 1880, at Kilmihil, but her family had moved to Auckland before she was 22. She then helped her father around the house for two years before her nursing career. Carolyn Kroll Reidy (May 2, 1949 – May 12, 2020) was an American business executive who served as president and CEO of the American publishing company Simon & Schuster. Brian Reidy
Brian Thomas Reidy (27 January 1939 – 2 June 2016) was a New Zealand rugby league player who represented New Zealand. Playing career Reidy played for the Marist club and represented Auckland. He made his debut for the New Zealand national rugby league team in 1959, becoming Kiwi #383, but did not make his test match debut until 1961, against Australia at Carlaw Park. Between 1959 and 1966, Reidy played 65 games for New Zealand, including 19 tests, scoring 34 tries in all. He could play anywhere in the backline, but turned out on the wing in all but one of his test match appearances. Later years Reidy went on serve as an administrator, on the NZ Kiwis Association, the Auckland Leagues Club and the board of the New Zealand Rugby League Museum. Affonso Eduardo Reidy
Affonso Eduardo Reidy (Paris, 26 October 1909 - Rio de Janeiro, 10 August 1964) was a Brazilian architect. He was the son of an English father and a Brazilian mother. Reidy entered the Escola Nacional de Belas Artes in Rio de Janeiro at age 17. He apprenticed with the French urban planner Alfred Agache (1875-1959) during his studies. Reidy graduated and became an architect in 1930. Lúcio Costa appointed him as a teaching assistant to the architect Gregori Warchavchik (1896-1972) at the Escola Nacional de Belas Artes in the same year. Michael Andrew Reidy (born April 2, 1991) is an American association football, soccer player. Career College Reidy played college soccer at Colgate University between 2009 and 2012. During his senior year, Reidy also played for FC Buffalo in the National Premier Soccer League. Ger Reidy (Irish: Gearóid Ó Riada), is a GAA goalkeeper currently playing for Castleisland Desmonds and Kerry. He made his intercounty debut in the National League fixture vs. Donegal in Austin Stack Park, Tralee. He went on to play in 3 further matches in Kerry's ultimately successful 2009 Allianz National Football League Division 1 campaign against Derry, Westmeath and Galway conceding only one goal (to Galway).
