Reidar Nielsen
Reidar Nielsen (16 June 1938 – 3 July 2018) was a Norwegian newspaper editor and politician for the Labour Party. He started his journalistic career in '' Vestfinnmark Arbeiderblad'' at the age of 19. He became subeditor before starting in '' Arbeiderbladet'' in 1968. He returned to ''Vestfinnmark Arbeiderblad'' (''Finnmark Dagblad'') as editor-in-chief, then '' Nordlys'' in 1973. He was replaced in 1982, returned to ''Finnmark Dagblad'', and after a stint in ''Dagningen'' from 1989 he finished his career in NRK. He was a member of the Broadcasting Council from 1983 to 1988. Labour Party (Norway)
The Labour Party ( nb, Arbeiderpartiet; nn, Arbeidarpartiet; A/Ap; se, Bargiidbellodat), formerly The Norwegian Labour Party ( no, Det norske Arbeiderparti, DNA), is a social-democratic political party in Norway. It is positioned on the centre-left of the political spectrum, and is led by Jonas Gahr Støre. It was the senior partner of the governing red–green coalition from 2005 to 2013, and its former leader Jens Stoltenberg served as the prime minister of Norway. ''Finnmark Dagblad'' is a Norwegian daily newspaper, published in Hammerfest, Norway. The newspaper was founded in 1913 as ''Vestfinmarkens Socialdemokrat''. It changed its name to ''Vestfinnmark Arbeiderblad'' in 1923. From 1940 the newspaper was taken over by Nasjonal Samling, and it was renamed first to ''Vestfinnmark Folkeblad'', later to ''Finnmark Folkeblad''. ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government. History ''Dagsavisen'' was established by Christian Holtermann Knudsen in 1884 under the name ''Vort Arbeide'' ('Our Work' in archaic Riksmål), and was affiliated with the trade union center ''Fagforeningernes Centralkomité''. Holtermann Knudsen also had to establish his own printing press since the existing printing presses did not want to be affiliated with a labourer's newspaper. Broadcasting Council (Norway)
The Broadcasting Council ( no, Kringkastingsrådet, or ''K-rådet'' for short) is an advisory board to the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). The role of the Broadcasting Council is to discuss and comment on NRK's programming agenda for Norwegian radio and television, and to advise on administrative and financial matters. Cases and appeals can be referred to the Council either by the NRK director-general or by NRK viewers and listeners. The Broadcasting Council is also free to consider matters of their own choosing. Finnmark
Finnmark (; se, Finnmárku ; fkv, Finmarku; fi, Ruija ; russian: Финнмарк) was a county in the northern part of Norway, and it is scheduled to become a county again in 2024. On 1 January 2020, Finnmark was merged with the neighbouring county of Troms to form the new Troms og Finnmark county. On 1 January 2024, the county will be demerged back to the counties Finnmark and Troms, after a decision made by parliament on 15 June 2022.
