Reid Ferguson
Reid Ferguson (born March 24, 1994) is an American football long snapper for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU. Professional career Ferguson was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2016. He was waived on August 30, 2016. He was signed to the practice squad on November 2, 2016. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Bills on January 2, 2017. Ferguson was named the Bills starting long snapper for 2017, where he played in all 16 games. On January 28, 2019, Ferguson signed a three-year contract extension with the Bills through the 2021 season. On May 28, 2021, Ferguson signed another three-year contract extension with the Bills through the 2024 season. Long Snapper
In American football, the long snapper (or deep snapper) is a center on special teams whose duty is to snap the football over a longer distance, typically around 15 yards during punts, and 7–8 yards during field goals and extra point attempts. Overview During field goal and point after touchdown attempts, the snap is received by the holder, typically 7–8 yards away. During punts, the snap is delivered to the punter from 13–15 yards away. Following a punt snap, the snapper often executes a blocking assignment and then must cover the kick by running downfield and attempting to stop the opposing team's punt returner from advancing the ball in the opposite direction. If the punt goes uncaught, it is the snapper's responsibility to make sure the ball does not enter the end zone or bounce backward resulting in loss of yards. Jerry Hughes
Jerry Ray Hughes Jr. (born August 13, 1988) is an American football defensive end for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at TCU, where he was twice recognized as a consensus All-American before being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Hughes has also played for the Buffalo Bills. Early years Hughes received three varsity letters in football while attending Austin High School in Fort Bend County, Texas, where he played running back. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played.
