Złoty Stok ( cs, Rychleby, german: Reichenstein, "''Richstone''") is a town in Ząbkowice Śląskie County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is situated on the border with the Czech Republic, adjoining the Czech village Bílá Voda. The town is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Złoty Stok, and lies approximately south of Ząbkowice Śląskie and south of the regional capital Wrocław. History The name ''Złoty Stok'' means "golden hillside" in Polish and is a reference to the fact that a gold deposit was mined here in the Middle Ages. Its Czech name is applied to the neighbouring mountain range, the Rychleby Mountains ( cs, Rychlebské hory). The corresponding Polish name is ''Góry Złote'' (Golden Mountains). Stadlern is a Municipalities of Germany, municipality in the Schwandorf (district), district of Schwandorf in Bavaria, Germany. History In the 11th century the Burg Reichenstein (Oberpfalz), castle of Reichenstein was the center of the settlement of the region around Stadlern. It was built under the reign of Charlemagne or his successors to fortify the March of the Nordgau, Bavarian Nordgau (now Upper Palatinate). Stadlern was a little settlement beneath the castle where the servants of the castle lived. 1266 Ottokar II of Bohemia conquered and devastated the whole region. Franz-Joseph Müller Von Reichenstein
Franz-Joseph Müller, Freiherr von Reichenstein or Franz-Joseph Müller von Reichenstein (1 July 1740 or 4 October 1742 – 12 October 1825 or 1826) was an Austrian mineralogist and mining engineer. Müller held several positions in the Habsburg monarchy administration of mines and coinage in the Banat, Transylvania, and Tyrol. During his time in Transylvania he discovered tellurium in 1782. In his later career he became a member of the imperial council in Vienna and was knighted and elevated to the rank Freiherr in 1820. Place and date of birth Müller was born in 1740 or 1742 in the Habsburg Empire. While the ''Allgemeine Deutsche Biographie'' gives 1 July 1740 and Vienna as date and place of birth, the ''Neue Deutsche Biographie'' prefers 4 October 1742 and the small town of Poysdorf in Lower Austria. Inzlingen Castle (german: Wasserchloss Inzlingen), also Reichenstein Castle (''Schloss Reichenstein'') is a medieval castle surrounded by a moat situated in the village of Inzlingen. Reichenstein Castle (german: Burg Reichenstein) is a castle in the municipality of Arlesheim in the canton of Basel-Land in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance. Admonter Reichenstein
The Admonter Reichenstein is a mountain in the Ennstal Alps and the highest and easternmost peak in the Reichenstein Group. An ascent of the mountain requires climbing ability sufficient to handle UIAA grade II climbs. Topography The Admonter Reichenstein has three summits. From west to east these are: the ''Admonter Horn'' 2,184 m, the Reichenstein main summit and the ''Totenköpfl'' 2,178 m. The Admonter Horn is separated from the main summit by the Reichenstein Saddle (''Reichensteinsattel'', 2,170 m). The Totenköpfl is separated from the main summit by the notch of the ''Reichensteinscharte'' 2,100 m. The mountain is surrounded on all sides by steep rock faces and drops.
