Rehan Butt
Rehan Butt (Urdu: ریحان بٹ) is a former Pakistani professional field hockey player who played as a forward for the Pakistan national field hockey team. A world renowned player known for his play-making skills and shooting in-front of the goal Rehan was named in the FIH All Stars Team in 2008 and 2010. In 2008 he was declared as the Best Asian Player by the Asian Hockey Federation. At international level Rehan represented Pakistan at three Olympics and two Hockey World Cups. He was part of the teams that finished third at three consecutive Champions Trophy in 2002, 2003 and 2004. He won the gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games. Chandigarh Comets
Chandigarh Comets (CCO) is hockey team based in Chandigarh, which is one of the eight teams that plays in World Series Hockey. Pakistani striker Rehan Butt is the captain of the team and Harendra Singh is the coach. Sector 42 Stadium is the home ground of Chandigarh Comets. Chandigarh Comets were at the top of the table in the league phase but ended up as the semi-finalists of the inaugural edition of WSH. 2006 Men's Hockey World Cup
The 2006 Men's Hockey World Cup was the 11th edition of the Hockey World Cup men's field hockey tournament. It was held 6–17 September 2006 in Mönchengladbach, Germany. Germany won the tournament for second consecutive time after defeating Australia 4–3 in the final. Spain won the third place match by defeating Korea 3–2 with a golden goal. Qualification Each of the continental champions from five confederations and the host nation received an automatic berth. The 2005 Men's Hockey RaboTrophy was the third edition of the men's field hockey tournament. The Hockey RaboTrophy, RaboTrophy was held in Amsterdam from 14 to 21 August 2005, and featured eight of the top nations in men's field hockey. Shakeel Abbasi (b: 5 January 1984, Quetta, Pakistan) is a former international field hockey player from Pakistan. He played as a forward mainly as an inside right or center forward. A skillful forward Abbasi was regarded as one of the finest players for Pakistan in his career making over 300 appearances. He also played for various club sides around the world reputed as a world class player of his era. Early life Abbasi was born in Quetta, Pakistan on 5 January 1984. 2003 Men's Hockey Asia Cup
The 2003 Men's Hockey Asia Cup was an international field hockey tournament held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 21 to 28 September 2003. It was the sixth time that the Men's Hockey Asia Cup was held since its inception back in 1982. The winner of the tournament qualified for the 2006 Men's Hockey World Cup in Germany. Eight teams competed in the tournament with seven of them booking a spot via the host nation spot or by finishing in the top six of the previous tournament with the remaining spot being played between seven teams (which was won by Hong Kong). These eight teams were separated into two groups of four teams with the top two of each group qualifying through to the semi-finals while the bottom two competed for fifth place. The 2002 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy was the 24th edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy men's field hockey tournament. It took place at the Kölner Stadtwald in Cologne, Germany. 2002 Commonwealth Games
The 2002 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XVII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Manchester 2002 were held in Manchester, England, from 25 July to 4 August, 2002.
