Rehan, India
Rehan is a small town in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh state, in the north of India. It lies on the border of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. It is well-known as a juncture between the cities of Nurpur, Jawali and Pathankot. Pathankot is the nearest and largest city with two railway stations. It is also the place of Freedom fighter and then MLA of the constituency from 1952 to 1972 Comrade Shr. Ram Chandar, one of the close associates of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Rehan produces local honey, oil, cheese and vegetables, though it exports very little. Rehan is famous for Afghan pita hats. The majority of the population speak varieties of Western Pahari. Ada Rehan
Ada Rehan (born Bidelia Crehan; June 12, 1857 – January 8, 1916) was an American actress and comedian who typified the "personality" style of acting in the nineteenth century. Early life and career She was born Bidelia Crehan in Limerick city, Ireland, one of five siblings born to Thomas Crehan (died 1890) and Harriet (or Harriett) Ryan Crehan (died 1901). She was baptised in St Michael's Roman Catholic Church on 12 June 1857. Although by the time she applied for a U.S. passport, she had shaved a few years off and gave 1860 as her year of birth. The family surname was apparently changed to Rehan later. When she was a small child, her family emigrated to the United States and settled in Brooklyn, New York. Umm ar-Rehan ( ar, أم الريحان, meaning "Mother of Basil"; also transliterated Umm Rihan or Um al-Rehan) is a Palestinian village of 370 inhabitants located high on the northwestern hills of the Jenin Governorate, from Jenin.
