Cheri Register
Cheri Register (1945 – March 7, 2018) was an American author and teacher. She wrote seven books and co-authored three, the most famous of which, ''Packinghouse Daughter'', is a memoir based on her working-class upbringing in her hometown of Albert Lea, Minnesota. She was a two-time Minnesota Book Awards winner. Register earned a Ph.D. from University of Chicago where she also received her B.A. and M.A. degrees. She also wrote about her experiences as mother of two adopted Korean children. Prior to taking up a writing career, she taught and published work on Scandinavian, primarily Swedish, women's history and literature. She taught classes in memoir writing at The Loft Literary Center. She was Assistant Professor of Women's Studies at the University of Minnesota. George Scott Register
George Scott Register (November 27, 1901 – March 18, 1972) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota. Education and career Born in Bismarck, North Dakota, Register received an Artium Baccalaureus degree from Jamestown College in 1923 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 1926. He was a special assistant state attorney general of North Dakota from 1928 to 1929, and then a state's attorney of Burleigh County, North Dakota from 1929 to 1953. He was in private practice in Bismarck from 1953 to 1955. Federal judicial service On June 21, 1955, Register was nominated by President Dwight D. John Register
John Register (1939–1996) was an American realist artist noted for his paintings and drawings, which were notably often minimalist, spare depictions of hotels, cafés, and empty chairs. Background Register was born in 1939 in New York City to Dorothy Deming Pratt Register (1909-1998) Register graduated from the Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, with B.A. in Literature in 1961, he met his wife Catherine Richards in a photography class at Pasadena Art Center where he studied commercial art. Register also studied painting for a semester at the Académie Julian in Paris, and later studied at the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Matthew Register (born September 2, 1989) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays with the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL. Playing career Register made his professional debut on January 25, 2012, playing defence for the Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League in a 2–0 home game shut-out over the Arizona Sundogs. On February 22, 2013, the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League (AHL) signed Register to a one-year AHL contract and then loaned him to the Ontario Reign of the ECHL where he skated in 17 regular season games and 10 playoff contests during the 2012–13 season. Samuel Barnard Register (born June 16, 1969) is an American television producer, animator, and businessman. He is the president of Warner Bros. Animation, Cartoon Network Studios, and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. Career Formerly Vice President of Cartoon Network, Register was the brain behind CartoonNetwork.com, which was launched in 1998.
