Region Jämtland Härjedalen
Region Jämtland Härjedalen (, ) formerly Jämtland County Council, and sometimes abbreviated to Region JH is the regional council for Jämtland County. The region is responsible for healthcare, dental care, and medical care. It also oversees regional development, public transport within the county, and cultural activities. The region was established on 1 January 2015 through the transformation of Jämtland County Council, and covers a population of around 130,000 people. History Jämtland Landsjämnadting (1645–1862) When Jämtland became Swedish after the Treaty of Brömsebro, parts of the responsibilities from the former Jamtamot were transferred to a Swedish county council. Hälsingland
Hälsingland (), sometimes referred to by the Latin name Helsingia, is a historical Provinces of Sweden, province or ''landskap'' in central Sweden. It borders Gästrikland, Dalarna, Härjedalen, Medelpad and the Gulf of Bothnia. It is part of the lands of Sweden, land of Norrland. Jamtli
Jamtli is the name of the regional open air museum of Jämtland and Härjedalen in Östersund, Sweden. It consists of an open-air museum with historical buildings, and an indoor museum with both permanent and temporary exhibitions. “Jamtli” literally means “hillside of Jämtland” in the local dialect. Since the 1980s, the museum has been working with living history in a project entitled ''Jamtli Historyland''. This venture has contributed to make the museum one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region. History Jamtli has its roots in the antiquarian association of Jämtland, established in 1886. Norrtåg
Norrtåg (English: Northern Trains) is a publicly owned company which is owned by Norrbotten County, Västerbotten County, Västernorrland County and Jämtland County in Sweden. The company owns passenger trains and organises passenger train operation. Norrtåg controls ticket sales and contracts an operator which handles actual train operation (staff and permits). The trains are operated under the brand name Norrtåg. Norrtåg started operation in 2010 on the newly opened Botnia line, and in 2011 it took over the until then branded Mittnabotåget services. Trains were operated by Botniatåg (an SJ AB / DB Regio joint venture) until 20 August 2016, when Tågkompaniet (now Vy Tåg) took over operations. Norrtåg services currently serve 82 stations with a total of 41 daily return trains reaching a total distance of 1,781 km. Ångermanland
Ångermanland ( or ) is a historical province (''landskap'') in the northern part of Sweden. It is bordered (clockwise from the north) by Swedish Lapland, Västerbotten, the Gulf of Bothnia, Medelpad and Jämtland. The name is derived from the Old Norse ''anger'', which means "deep fjord" and is a reference to the deep mouth of the Ångerman River (''Ångermanälven''). The Latin name of the province is . Bodum
Bodum, Inc. is a Danish-Swiss kitchenware manufacturer headquartered in Triengen, Switzerland. Founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1944 by Peter Bodum, the company was moved to Switzerland in 1978 by his son, Jørgen, who continued to run the company as chief executive. Ytterhogdal () is a urban areas of Sweden, locality situated in Härjedalen Municipality, Jämtland County, Sweden with 534 inhabitants in 2010. Being located in the province of Hälsingland, the village has connections to three provinces due to the municipality and county having namesake provinces outside of Ytterhogdal. Jämtland County
Jämtland County (, ) is a county or '' län'' in Sweden. It consists of the provinces of Jämtland and Härjedalen, along with minor parts of Hälsingland and Ångermanland, plus two small strips of Lapland and Dalarna. It borders the counties of Dalarna, Gävleborg, Västernorrland, and Västerbotten, as well as the Norwegian county of Trøndelag. It measures and constitutes 12% of Sweden's total area, making it the country's third largest county. The capital is Östersund.
