Erich Waschneck
Erich John Waschneck (29 April 1887, in Grimma, Kingdom of Saxony – 22 September 1970, in Berlin) was a German cameraman, director, screenwriter, and film producer. Early life Erich was the son of Karl Hermann Waschneck, a blacksmith, and his wife Therese Emilie, née Schneider. Waschneck went to finishing school at the Leipzig Art Academy and studied painting. Career He came in contact with the film industry in 1907 when he began to paint posters for films. He then worked as a still photographer and later as a camera assistant to cinematographer Fritz Arno Wagner . In 1921, he did his first work as a cameraman in the adaptation of the fairy tale ''The Little Muck'' by Wilhelm Hauff. From 1924 he worked as a director. Olga Engl
Olga Engl (30 May 1871 – 21 September 1946) was an Austrian-German stage and motion picture actress who appeared in nearly 200 films. Biography Engl was privately educated in an Ursuline monastery and began her acting career at the Prague Conservatory. In August 1887 she made her stage début as Bertha in the play ''Die Verschwörung des Fiesco zu Genua'' in her home town. In 1888, she moved to the city of Danzig and performed in the theatre from 1889 to 1892 then briefly moved to Berlin. From 1892 to 1895 she performed with the court theatre in Munich and from 1895 to 1897 in Hamburg at the Thalia Theater, and from 1897 in Hanover. Julia Serda (6 April 1875 – 3 December 1965) was an Austrian stage and film actress.Grange p.120 She was married to the actor Hans Junkermann. Biography Julia Serda was born on 6 April 1875 in Vienna. She became fascinated by the stage at an early age, taking singing lessons from Pauline Lucca and studying acting at the Vienna Conservatory. Serda made her debut in 1895 at the theater in Breslau, after which she went to Köningsberg for three years. In 1899 she followed a call to the Dresden Court Theater, to which she remained connected until 1908 and was awarded the title of "Royal Saxon Court Actress".
