Reggie Christiansen
Reggie Aaron Christiansen (born August 28, 1975) is an American college baseball coach who has served as head coach of the Sacramento State Hornets baseball team since 2011. Christiansen was previously head coach at Menlo and South Dakota State. At Sacramento State, Christiansen has over 360 wins, with two Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2012 and 2014 and three appearances in the NCAA Tournament in 2014, 2017, and 2019. Early life and education Originally from Ferndale, California, Christiansen attended Menlo College, where he played on the Menlo Oaks baseball team at third base from 1996 to 1997. Christiansen graduated from Menlo in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Sacramento State Hornets Baseball
The Sacramento State Hornets baseball team represents California State University, Sacramento, which is located in Sacramento, California. The Hornets are an NCAA Division I college baseball program that competes in the Western Athletic Conference. They began competing in Division I in 1990 and re-joined the Western Athletic Conference in 2006. They were a part of the Big West Conference from 1997 to 2002. The Sacramento State Hornets play all home games on campus at John Smith Field. The Hornets have played in three NCAA Division I Tournaments. Over their 19 discontinuous seasons in the Western Athletic Conference, they have won two WAC regular season titles and three WAC Tournaments. 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament began on Friday, May 30, 2014 as part of the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season. The 64 team double elimination tournament concluded with the 2014 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, which started on June 14, 2014, and ended on June 25, 2014 with the Vanderbilt Commodores upsetting the 3rd seed Virginia Cavaliers 3–2 in the decisive Game 3. The 64 participating NCAA Division I college baseball teams were selected out of an eligible 298 teams. A total of 31 teams were awarded an automatic bid as champions of their conferences, and 33 teams were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee.
