Regeneration (K-9)
"Regeneration" is an episode in the Australian/British science fiction drama television series '' K-9''. It is the first episode of Series 1 and the first episode of the show. It features a cameo appearance from the original K-9 Mark I. Synopsis Whilst Starkey and Jorjie are trying to escape the police they take refuge in a large detached house, now the residence of reclusive scientist, Professor Gryffen and a robot dog, K-9 Mark I. After the ensuing battle with the Jixen, K-9 regenerates. Plot Two men arrive at the home and lab of Professor Alistair Gryffen with a case. After providing the case, containing a piece of technology from a "fallen angel" (a downed alien craft) they inform him that The Department wants a full report within 24 hours. Elsewhere, Starkey, a teenage boy, is near an outdoor public display board terminal and is hacking in to post a dissident message against the government. K-9 (TV Series)
''K9'' is a science-fiction adventure series focusing on the adventures of the robot dog K9 from the television show ''Doctor Who'', achieved by mixing computer animation and live action. It is aimed at an audience of 11- to 15-year-olds. A single series of the programme was made in Brisbane, Australia, with co-production funding from Australia and the United Kingdom. It aired in 2009 and 2010 on Network Ten in Australia, and on Disney XD in the UK, as well as being broadcast on other Disney XD channels in Europe. Development K9's co-creator, Bob Baker, had long sought to produce a television series starring the character. The Invisible Enemy (Doctor Who)
''The Invisible Enemy'' is the second serial of the 15th season of the British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four weekly parts on BBC1 from 1 to 22 October 1977. The serial introduced the robot dog K9, voiced by John Leeson. In the serial, an intelligent virus intends to spread across the universe after finding a suitable spawning location on the moon Titan. ''The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith'' is the third serial of the third series the British science fiction television series ''The Sarah Jane Adventures''. The Time War, more specifically called the Last Great Time War, is a conflict within the fictional Whoniverse, universe of the British science fiction on television, science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. The war occurs between the events of the Doctor Who (1996 film), 1996 film and the Doctor Who (series 1), 2005 revived series, with the Time Lords fighting the Daleks until the apparent mutual destruction of both races. The war was frequently mentioned when the show returned, but was not directly seen until the show's 50th anniversary special. Leela is a fictional character played by Louise Jameson in the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. She was a companion of the Fourth Doctor and a regular in the programme from 1977 to 1978. Writer Chris Boucher named her after the Palestinian hijacker Leila Khaled. Gallifrey () is a fictional planet in the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. It is the original home world of the Time Lords, the civilisation to which the protagonist, the Doctor belongs. It is located in a binary star system 250 million light years from Earth. Bob Baker (scriptwriter)
Robert John Baker (26 July 1939 – 3 November 2021) was a British television and film writer. He was best known for working on the original run of '' Doctor Who'', and for being a co-writer of the Wallace and Gromit films '' The Wrong Trousers'', ''A Close Shave'', '' Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit'' and '' A Matter of Loaf and Death'' (in which the character Baker Bob is named after him). Career Baker and Dave Martin began writing for Harlech Television (HTV), the local ITV franchise. One of their earliest works was Thick As Thieves starring Leonard Rossiter.
