Reformed Political Party Youth
The Reformed Political Party Youth ( nl, Staatkundig Gereformeerde Partij-jongeren), officially abbreviated as SGPJ or SGP-jongeren, is the youth wing of the Dutch Reformed Political Party, an orthodox Calvinist political party. The SGPJ is officially independent and established as ''Landelijk Verband van Staatkundig Gereformeerde Studieverenigingen'' (LVSGS)Officially ''LVSGS/SGP-jongeren'' since 1986 and ''SGP-jongeren'' since 2000. in 1934 in Rotterdam and is with over 12,000 members in 2011 the largest political youth organization of the Netherlands. In 1987, women were allowed to become members and in 2007 a woman was elected for the first time to the board. Calvinism
Calvinism (also called the Reformed Tradition, Reformed Protestantism, Reformed Christianity, or simply Reformed) is a major branch of Protestantism that follows the theological tradition and forms of Christian practice set down by John Calvin and other Reformation-era theologians. It emphasizes the sovereignty of God and the authority of the Bible. Calvinists broke from the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century. Elbert Dijkgraaf (born 6 January 1970 in Almelo) is a Dutch economist and politician. He is professor at the Erasmus School of Economics where he holds the chair "Empirical economics of the public sector". He also is fellow of the Tinbergen Institute. George Van Heukelom
George Richard Johannes van Heukelom (9 August 1949 – 14 April 2023) was a Dutch politician, academic administrator, and member of the Reformed Political Party (SGP). During his early career, he was President of the Reformed Political Party Youth, the youth wing of the SGP, from 1986 until 1991. He then served as a member of the Provincial Council of the province of Zeeland from 1987 to 2003 and the Provincial Executive of Zeeland (the province's executive branch) from 2003 until 2015.
