Reflections Of Passion
''Reflections of Passion'' is the first compilation album and sixth album overall by Greek keyboardist and composer Yanni, released on May 15, 1990 by Private Music. It is a selection of tracks from his five previous studio albums, released between 1980 and 1989, plus three new compositions. Yanni was encouraged to release the album by his then partner, actress Linda Evans. ''Reflections of Passion'' became Yanni's fastest selling and most successful album of his career upon release. It reached No. 1 on the ''Billboard'' Top New Age Albums chart and No. 29 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Yanni supported the album with a nationwide concert tour in 1991 that featured his band and an orchestra. In 1995, it was certified double platinum for selling 2 million copies in the US. Yiannis Chryssomallis ( el, Γιάννης Χρυσομάλλης; born November 14, 1954), known professionally as Yanni ( ), is a Greek-American composer, keyboardist, pianist, and music producer. Yanni continues to use the musical shorthand that he developed as a child, blending jazz, classical, soft rock, and world music to create predominantly instrumental works. Although this genre of music was not well suited for commercial pop radio and music television, Yanni received international recognition by producing concerts at historic monuments and by producing videos that were broadcast on public television. ''Keys to Imagination'' is the second studio album by Greek keyboardist and composer Yanni, released on the Private Music label in 1986. Background & production In an interview with ''Cymbiosis'', Yanni said that he often spent 12–15 hours a day producing the album. Yanni also stated that his favorite part about producing the album was to activate "up to six or seven lavekeyboards" and that "the most simple sounds on ''Keys to Imagination'' are made with at least two or three keyboards." ''Out of Silence'' is the third studio album by Greek keyboardist and composer Yanni, released by Private Music in 1987. Its corresponding concert tour was the ''1987 Concert Series''. The liner notes dedicate the album to his homeland in Kalamata, Greece respectively: "Dedicated to the town of Kalamata, Greece which stood strong and waited for me one last time." The album was reissued in 2009 by Valley Entertainment. Bradley Joseph (born 1965) is an American composer, arranger, and producer of contemporary instrumental music. His compositions include works for orchestra, quartet, and solo piano, while his musical style ranges from "quietly pensive mood music to a rich orchestration of classical depth and breadth". Active since 1983, Joseph has performed in front of millions of people around the world. He played various instruments in rock bands throughout the Midwest until 1989 when Greek composer Yanni hired him for his core band after hearing a tape of his original compositions. Giovanna Joyce Imbesi (died 2019), was an American pianist/keyboardist. She embarked on her first national tour with Yanni in 1987 to promote his album, '' Out of Silence'', and performed during the " Yanni 1988 Concert Series" and " Reflections of Passion" concert tours. During this time she played alongside such musicians as John Tesh and Charlie Adams, and with various symphony orchestras such as the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the Minneapolis Symphony. Kalani Das, also known simply as Kalani (birth name Michael Bruno), is an American classically trained percussionist, author, and educator. Charlie Bisharat
Charlie Bisharat is an American violinist known as a member of Shadowfax and for his work in film and with other New Age Jazz artists. He was born in Inglewood, CA in 1963 to parents who immigrated to the United States from Palestine in the 1950s. Bisharat was a member of the band Shadowfax which won the Best New Age Performance Grammy Award in 1988 for the album ''Folksongs for a Nuclear Village''. Osama Afifi has been a professional bassist since 1983. He has recorded and performed live with many artists such as U.S. and Canadian tours with Yanni during the "Reflections of Passion", "In Celebration of Life, Revolution in Sound", and "Dare to Dream (Yanni album), Dare to Dream" concert tours; a European and Canadian tour with French artist Vanessa Paradis; and a TV show on VH1 called ''Storytellers'' with The Doors. Charlie Adams (drummer)
Charlie Adams is an American drummer, best known for playing in Yanni's touring band, after having played with Yanni in the early 1980s rock band Chameleon. Adams was born in Joliet, Illinois. Music career Chameleon Band members of regional rock band Chameleon included Adams on drums, vocals, and percussion; Yanni on keyboards and synthesizers; Dugan McNeill on lead vocals and bass guitars; Johnny Donaldson on all guitars; and Mark Anthony on lead vocals and keyboards. Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal (; ) is an Islamic ivory-white marble mausoleum on the right bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1631 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan () to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself.
