Redcliffe Showgrounds
The Redcliffe Showgrounds is a showground in Redcliffe, Queensland for the annual Redcliffe Show the June holidays. Whilst the show is not on, it is home to the Redcliffe Darts club, Redcliffe Bingo as well as PCYC Over 35 soccer club. It used to be the main field for the Redcliffe Dolphins up until 1982 before the club moved to Dolphin Oval, but still serves as a training ground. Prior to 2004, the Redcliffe Padres Baseball Club had called the Redcliffe Showgrounds home for 12 years, taking advantage of the great floodlighting facilities. Redcliffe is a town and suburb in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. It also refers colloquially to the Redcliffe Peninsula as a whole, a peninsula jutting into Moreton Bay which contains several other suburbs. Bingo is a game of probability in which players mark off numbers on cards as the numbers are drawn randomly by a caller, the winner being the first person to mark off all their numbers. Bingo, also previously known in the UK as Housey-Housey, became increasingly popular across the UK following the Betting and Gaming Act 1960 with more purpose-built bingo halls opened every year until 2005. PCYC
Police & Community Youth Clubs (PCYC) or Police and Community Youth Clubs are a network of Australian non-profit, community organisations, founded in New South Wales. In some states such as NSW, they are constituted as an Incorporated Association. The Mission of PCYC is to get young people active in life; develop their skills, character and leadership; and prevent and reduce crime by and against young people. The organisation is community-based and involves the provision of low-cost structured activities to children and adults, aimed specifically at the underprivileged persons in the community. Redcliffe Dolphins
The Redcliffe Dolphins are a semi-professional rugby league club based in Redcliffe, Queensland, Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia. Founded in 1947, they were accepted into the Brisbane Rugby League premiership (rugby league competition), Brisbane Rugby League (BRL) premiership competition in 1960, and since 1996 have played in the Queensland Cup. The Redcliffe Dolphins thrived in the BRL. However, the 1988 admission of the Brisbane Broncos team in the National Rugby League, National Rugby League (NRL) competition caused the decline of the BRL. Although a separately licensed Dolphins (NRL) team is scheduled to compete in the fully professional 2023 national competition, the Redcliffe squad will continue to play in the Queensland competition. Dolphin Stadium (also known as Kayo Stadium and previously Moreton Daily Stadium under naming rights) is a sports stadium in the suburb of Kippa-Ring, Queensland, Kippa-Ring in the Moreton Bay Region, north of the adjoining Brisbane metropolitan city, Queensland, Australia. The Redcliffe Leagues Padres Baseball Club, also known as Peninsula Padres Baseball Club is a baseball club located in Redcliffe, Queensland that participates in the Greater Brisbane League competition and Brisbane North Region competition. As of November 2011, it was the largest club in Queensland and second largest in Australia behind the Waverley Baseball Club in Victoria (Australia), Victoria. Talobilla Park
Talobilla Park is a sporting facility located in the suburb of Kippa-Ring, Queensland in Australia. Sports include baseball, canoeing, dragon boating, Association football, rugby league and softball. Talobilla Park also contains an Automated Weather Observing System for the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. It is built on an old landfill reserve. Baseball Talobilla has two regulation-size baseball diamonds built in 2004 including one regulation Little League field.
