''Red Wine'' is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language thriller film directed by Salam Bappu and written by Mammen K. Rajan from a story by Noufal Blathoor. It stars Mohanlal, Fahad Fazil, and Asif Ali. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by Bijibal. ''Red Wine'' was released on 21 March 2013. The film was later dubbed into Telugu under the same name. Plot ACP Ratheesh Vasudevan IPS, a brilliant and experienced police officer, is appointed to investigate the murder case of Anoop C V, a part-time actor in local plays. He is assisted by Sub-Inspector Rafi. During the initial stages of the investigation, Ratheesh learns from Anoop's family members, neighbours and from Anoop's close friend Joe Sebastin that Anoop was a brilliant student both in school and college and that also that he was the Local Committee Secretary of the Leftist Party and opted for helping the local population rather than using his engineering degree to get a well-paying job abroad . Salam Bappu is an Indian film director working in Malayalam cinema. He made his debut through the movie '' Red Wine'' (2013) and later directed ''Manglish'' new movie ‘’Aayirothonnaam Raavu’’ shoot progressing at Dubai Biography Salam Bappu was born on 15 May 1975 at Palapetty, a village in Ponnani, Malappuram, Kerala to Bappu Haji and Ayishumma. After his schooling at Govt High School Palapetty, he pursued his graduation from M.E.S. Ponnani College, Ponnani (1992-1995), and Kerala Law Academy Law College, Trivandrum (1997-2000). Also, he holds a Post graduate diploma in Journalism from Institute of Journalism, Press Club Trivandrum (2001). He enrolled as advocate from Kerala High court, Kochi and practiced as an advocate at Ponnani bar. He worked as a script writer in Asianet.
