Red Volcano is a fictional android supervillain published by DC Comics. He first appeared in ''DC Universe'' #0 (April 2008), and was created by Grant Morrison, Gail Simone and Aaron Lopresti from a concept by Greg Weisman. Publication history Red Volcano debuted in ''DC Universe'' #0, and returned in 2009's ''Red Tornado'' mini-series. Fictional character biography Red Volcano was created by Professor Ivo and T.O. Morrow. Ivo uses him as an aide during his tenure as part of the Secret Society of Super Villains. He helps Ivo in collecting soil samples from various regions of Earth where acts of genocide took place over the past 100 years. This is a plot to create a golem called Genocide. Professor Anthony Ivo (pronunciation: Eye-voh) is a supervillain and mad scientist in DC Comics. He is the creator of the android villain Amazo and, along with villainous scientist T.O. Morrow, the co-creator of the android Tomorrow Woman. As a result of his thanatophobia, Ivo has used his own scientific discoveries to make himself nearly immortal and invulnerable, but this has resulted in his appearance becoming monstrous in the process. Anthony Ivo appeared in the second season of the live-action Arrowverse show ''Arrow'' and was played by Dylan Neal. Samurai is a Japanese superhero in the ''Super Friends'' animated television series. His real name is Toshio Eto. He was one of the later additions to the team along with other ethnically diverse heroes in an effort for the show to promote cultural diversity. The visual design of the character was created by cartoonist Alex Toth. His voice actor is Jack Angel. In addition to being a prominent figure in several other animated shows, Angel also did the voice for The Flash and Hawkman. Apache Chief is a Native American superhero from the various Hanna-Barbera ''Super Friends'' cartoons and the DC comic book series of the same name. He was one of the new heroes added (along with Black Vulcan, Rima the Jungle Girl, El Dorado and Samurai) to increase the number of non-white characters in the Super Friends' ranks. The visual look of the character was created by cartoonist Alex Toth, who designed many superheroes for Hanna-Barbera beginning in the 1960s. He was voiced by Michael Rye in most of his appearances, Regis Cordic in his debut appearance, and Al Fann in "History of Doom".
