Red Tank!
Red Tank! is an American punk band from Phoenix, Arizona, United States that is currently based in Brooklyn, New York. They are known for their erratic sound and "high energy" performances which propel introspective, complex lyricism. They have been described as "caffeinated unk.. perfect for wrecking a living room: a combination of soaring scream-alongs and ecstatic existential anthems." History They have recorded with Jalipaz Nelson of Audioconfusion, who has worked with other Phoenix bands such as AJJ, Playboy Manbaby, Dogbreth, and Diners. The band refers to him as a "legend and a mentor". Red Tank! have been compared to "the snottier sides of No Age, Ty Segall, and Harlem". The Trunk Space is an all-ages music venue in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. It is located at 1124 N 3rd Street. Background Originally a coffee cart called ''The Paper Cup'' in the now defunct Paper Heart Gallery, in its original location on Van Buren Rd., co-owners JRC and Stephanie Carrico split from the Paper Heart Gallery to form The Trunk Space. The Trunk Space is an art gallery, coffee bar, and performance space. There are gallery shows twice a month, for Phoenix's First Friday and Third Friday art walks, with randomly occurring private events. The coffee bar features a full-service espresso machine which uses Xanadu coffee beans. The performance space is used for improv comedy, MST3K-styled movie showings and most notably, musical performances. Performers vary in genre, amounts of experimentation and experience levels. were a Japanese rock band formed in 1967 at Kyoto's Doshisha University. History ''Les Rallizes Dénudés ''was formed in 1967 by a group of students at Kyoto's Doshisha University. Initially, the band planned to record in a studio, but after being dissatisfied with the results, agreed to exclusively play live shows. The band was initially active between 1967 and 1988, and then again briefly between 1993 and 1996 before permanently disbanding. The true meaning of the name ''Les Rallizes Dénudés'' is debated, however according to former member Moriaki Wakabayashi the word ''Rallizes'' comes from the Japanese word ''Rari'', which means being high and the word ''Dénudés (french word for naked)'' representing being their raw selves. Harlem is an American garage rock band comprising vocalist/guitarist/drummer Michael Coomers, vocalist/guitarist/drummer Curtis O'Mara and bassist Jose Boyer, formerly of Chapel Hill-based The Gondoliers and The Kashmir. History Harlem started in Tucson, AZ before relocating to Austin where they generated a mountain of attention, both with their live shows and their self-issued 2008 album '' Free Drugs ;-)'', mastered by Nathan Sabatino at Loveland Recording Studios.
