Red Snow (1952 Film)
''Red Snow'' is a 1952 American adventure film directed by Boris Petroff and Harry S. Franklin and starring Guy Madison, Ray Mala, Mala, Carole Mathews, Gloria Saunders and Lee Frederick. The film's action takes place in Alaska. It was part of a string of anti-communist films made around this time.Gianos p.155 Plot Lieutenant Johnson, a U.S. Air Force pilot, on the tip of Alaska, a few miles from the Bering Straits from Siberia, helps foil a Soviet plot to test a few secret weapon by loyal Alaskan Eskimos. He is aided by Sergeant Koovuk, an Alaska native Eskimo also in the U.S. military service. Along the way there is an ice-floe evacuation, an air-ice rescue and a fight with a polar bear. John Bleifer
John Melvin Bleifer (July 26, 1901 – January 24, 1992) was an American actor whose career began at the end of the silent film era, and lasted through the mid-1980s. He appeared in feature films and film serials, and in a number of television series and miniseries. Bleifer also acted on stage, and appeared in several Broadway productions. Life and career Over the course of his career, he would appear in well over 100 films, serials, television shows and Broadway plays. His European accent allowed him to play several different nationalities, while using essentially the same accent. Bleifer did not make many silent films, but his career took off in 1933, after the advent of sound pictures. The 1940s saw Bleifer's career continue on the same path he had taken in the prior decade. Robert Samuel Carson (June 8, 1909 – June 2, 1979) was an American actor noted for dozens of supporting roles in films and television series during a career that spanned three and a half decades. He was also occasionally billed as Bob Carson or Robert S. Carson. Early years Carson was born in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to Elmer Llewellyn Carson and Elsa W. Carson (née Brunke) and grew up in Carman, Manitoba, Canada, along with his younger brother and actor Jack Carson. The family later moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
