The Tour of the Basque Country (Officially: ''Itzulia Basque Country'', es, Vuelta al País Vasco, links=no, eu, Euskal Herriko Itzulia) is an annual road bicycle racing, road cycling stage race held in the Basque Country (autonomous community), Spanish Basque Country in April. It is one of the races that make up the UCI World Tour calendar. As the Basque Country is a mountainous area, there are few flat stages, and thus the event favors those who are strong climbing specialist, climbers. The Tour du Faso is a 10-day road bicycle racing stage race held in Burkina Faso in the late fall. The race is organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation, which also organises the Tour de France, and since 2005, the race has been part of the UCI Africa Tour. The race was first held in 1987 and until 1998 was reserved for amateurs. Since 2005, it is organised as a 2.2 event on the UCI Africa Tour. The Tour of Ireland (Irish: Turas na hÉireann, known from 1985 to 1992 as the Nissan Classic) was a bicycle stage race held in August, which ran for 35 editions over a 56-year period. Irish rider Seán Kelly recorded the most wins, four. The first Tour of Ireland race debuted in 1953 and ran until 1957. It was revived in 1965 and ran until 1985. In 1985 the 5-day ''Nissan International Classic'' took over as the Tour of Ireland. This lasted for 8 years until 1992. Tour De Romandie
The Tour de Romandie is a stage race which is part of the UCI World Tour. It runs through the Romandie region, or French-speaking part of Switzerland. The competition began in 1947, to coincide with the 50-year anniversary of Swiss Cycling. It was held without interruption until the COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of the 2020 edition. The course of the race usually heads northwards towards the Jura mountains and Alpine mountain ranges of western Switzerland. The race traditionally starts with an individual time trial prologue and ends with an individual time-trial in hilly terrains, often in Lausanne. The final time-trial traditionally starts in the stadium north of Lausanne, goes downhill southwards to Lake Léman (Lake Geneva), and makes its way back uphill to the stadium again. Tour Of Missouri
The Tour of Missouri was a professional road bicycle racing stage race in Missouri that started on September 11, 2007 with six days of racing. The organizers, who also run the Tour de Georgia and the Amgen Tour of California, billed it as the third highest profile race in the United States. The 2009 Tour of Missouri took place September 7–13, 2009 as part of 2008-2009 UCI America Tour and the 2009 USA Cycling Professional Tour. Missouri state officials intended to support the Tour for three years, with the intention of making it an annual event. However, the 2009 Tour was almost canceled when its funds were provisionally cut from the state's tourism budget.
