Red Bull Škoda Team is an Austrian private rally team that participated in the World Rally Championship in the season. It was managed by BRR - Baumschlager Rallye & Racing and sponsored by the Red Bull brand. The team participated with four different drivers, using the Škoda Fabia WRC as the vehicle, in ten rounds on the calendar. Andreas Aigner's best result was a sixth place at Rallye Deutschland. 2006 Rally Australia
The 2006 Telstra Rally Australia was the fourteenth round of the 2006 World Rally Championship season. It took place between 26 and 29 October 2006. Report Ford's Mikko Hirvonen won the rally, taking his first victory of his career. His teammate Marcus Grönholm was only the Fifth to mathematically give the world championship to Sébastien Loeb, who was out of this race due to injury. Grönholm hit a rock, resulting in him losing eleven minutes and falling to 55th place. In order to maintain his chances for the championship, Grönholm had to rise to at least third place, but he was only able to collect four points, so Loeb, who witnessed the rally from home, celebrated the championship with two more races left. 2006 Rally Of Turkey
The 2006 Rally of Turkey was a motor racing event for rally cars that was held over three days between 13 and 15 October 2006. It marked the 7th running of the Rally of Turkey, and was the thirteenth round of the 2006 World Rally Championship season. The event was also the eighth round of the 2006 Junior WRC. The 2006 event was based in Kemer in Turkey and was contested over nineteen special stage (rallying), special stages, covering a total competitive distance of 337.79 km (209.89 miles). Sebastien Loeb, along with Kronos Citroën World Rally Team were the defending rally winners, but Loeb would not enter the rally after breaking his arm in a mountain biking accident. Colin McRae would take Loeb's place, in what would end up being his last rally before his death the next year. He would retire on the final stage with mechanical issues.
