A recruitment tool is an advertising method that aids in creating interest in and getting people for a typically political organization. Historically recruitment tools have often taken the form of posters or films, though in modern times recruitment tools have taken the form of advergame video games. Advergame
An advergame is a form of advertising in video games, in which the video game is developed by or in close collaboration with a corporate entity for purposes of advertising a brand-name product. While other video games may use in-game advertising (such as an advertisement on a virtual billboard or branding on an in-game object), an advergame is differentiated by the Interactive Advertising Bureau as a "game specifically designed around heproduct or service being advertised". An advergame is considered a type of advertainment. Advergames are commonly targeted to minors, who tend to be more responsive to persuasive messages that can be embedded in such games. ''Ethnic Cleansing'' is a first-person shooter video game for the Microsoft Windows operating system, created by the American white supremacist and hate organization National Alliance (and published by its record label Resistance Records) on January 21, 2002. As part of a "race war", the player controls a neo-Nazi skinhead or a Klansman and is tasked with killing stereotypical African-American, Latino, and Jewish enemies, ending with then-Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. White power skinheads, also known as racist skinheads and neo-Nazi skinheads, are members of a neo-Nazi, white supremacist and antisemitic offshoot of the skinhead subculture. Under Siege (2005 Video Game)
''Under Siege'' ( ar, تحت الحصار) is a sequel to the video game '' Under Ash'' designed by Radwan Kasmiya. Like ''Under Ash'', it is a first-person shooter, with the option of playing the game as a third-person shooter. The game focuses on the lives of a Palestinian family between 1999 and 2002 during the second Intifada. The player shoots at Israeli Defense Force soldiers throughout most of the game. Shooting at civilians or otherwise hurting them ends the game. Plot The game begins at the 1994 Cave of the Patriarchs massacre. ''Under Ash'' ( ar, تحت الرماد) is a first-person shooter sometimes explained to be a response to how Arabs are pictured in video games in general and ''America's Army'' in particular. Like ''America's Army'', it is considered to be video game propaganda; however, it differs from ''America's Army'' in that it is not available free. The player takes the role of Ahmed, a Palestinian opposed to Israeli occupation (Zionists). Through the course of the game, Ahmed progresses from throwing rocks at Israeli soldiers to destroying Israeli military positions.
