Recreo
Recreo is a city in Catamarca Province, Argentina. It is the head town of the La Paz Department. Recreo is also referred to the name of the Carts Recreo (''Recreo de las Carretas'' in Spanish). It is located about 8 km north of the Salinas Grandes is far to 206 km from the provincial capital San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, 283 km from Cordoba 's capital, 980 km from Buenos Aires. Its population was 10,147 inhabitants in 2001 and according to projections INDEC 2007 amounted to 14,204 inhabitants in a rectangular area of 13.5 km² to 220 meters. Its inhabitants are called recreinos. Was established in 1875 by the construction of a station of Ferrocarril General Manuel Belgrano in the field of seizing the then deputy provincial Pedro Cano. Open Air Museum Viña Del Mar
Open Air Museum Viña del Mar ( es, Museo al Aire Libre de Viña del Mar) is an open-air art museum located near Recreo, Viña del Mar, Chile, near the city of Valparaíso. The museum called, "Walls watching the sea", is focused on reproductions of Chilean Modern art executed by Claudio Francia Willms. Myriam Parra Vásquez is the curator of the museum. The work has the support of the Regional Government of Valparaíso. It is a project of the Association of Neighborhood Councils of Recreo, administered by the non-profit organization Fundación Tempestad. The 1892 Recreo earthquake took place in the Catamarca Province of Argentina on 21 March at about 01:45 AM, with magnitude of 6.0 on the Richter magnitude scale. Its epicenter was located approximately at , and at a depth of about . The earthquake had a maximum felt intensity of VII on the Mercalli intensity scale. It caused some fatalities and serious structural damage in the town of Recreo. Cabrito Rock
Cabrito Rock is a Spanish rock festival, usually lasting about two days. Inspired by the Cosquin Rock festival, it takes place in Recreo, Argentina, and is the only festival of its kind in the Catamarca Province. History The festival was first held on January 6, 2007 at "Club Union Sportiva" with an audience of over 1,000 people. The second festival was held in 2008 at "Club Atlético Pedro Cano", opening to a larger crowd than the first year. In 2009, its third year, the crowd outgrew the organizers' expectations, with over 2,200 people in attendance. This time, images were broadcast on a giant screens located on the side of the stage. The fourth festival was held on February 6, 2010, with a night of tributes to great bands. Catamarca Province
Catamarca () is a province of Argentina, located in the northwest of the country. The province had a population of 334,568 as per the , and covers an area of 102,602 km2. Its literacy rate is 95.5%. Neighbouring provinces are (clockwise, from the north): Salta, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Córdoba, and La Rioja. To the west it borders the country of Chile. Estanislao Zeballos
Estanislao Severo Zeballos (27 July 1854 - 4 October 1923) was an Argentine lawyer and politician who was Minister of Foreign Affairs of his country three times. He was one of the most prominent intellectuals and politicians of his time. He wrote on a broad range of subjects in books and periodicals, including Catholicism, history, ethnography and geography. Early years Estanislao Severo Zeballos born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina on 27 July 1854, the eldest son of Lieutenant Colonel Estanislao Zeballos and Felisa Juárez. His father was an aide to General Juan Pablo López, and was wounded in 1838 when fighting against the Indians. In 1850, with the rank of major, his father became captain of Puerto de Rosario. His father supported the Great Army of Justo José de Urquiza in 1851, and was promoted to lieutenant colonel. Mormons
Mormons are a religious and cultural group related to Mormonism, the principal branch of the Latter Day Saint movement started by Joseph Smith in upstate New York during the 1820s.
