"Recovering" is a song recorded by Canadian singer Celine Dion and released as a single on 9 September 2016. It was written by Pink after Dion's husband, René Angélil died in January 2016. ''Entertainment Tonight Canada'' chose it as one of the best songs of 2016. Background and release On 6 July 2016, Dion revealed that Pink wrote a song for her, in honor of her husband René Angélil, who died of cancer in January 2016. Celine was the second concert residency by Canadian recording artist Celine Dion. The residency was performed at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning 15 March 2011, with an estimated 70 performances per year (which makes Dion the top money earner in Vegas, earning $500,000 a show). The residency ranked 26th in Pollstar's "Top 50 Worldwide Tour (Mid-Year)", earning over $20 million. Being seen by over 200,000 people, the residency became the number one show in 2011 (for North America). Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C) is a charitable program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF). SU2C aims to raise significant funds for translational cancer research through online and televised efforts. Central to the program is a telethon that was first televised by four major broadcast networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox) in over 170 countries on September 5, 2008.
