Reborn (Kavinsky Album)
''Reborn'' is the second studio album by French electronic musician Kavinsky, released on 25 March 2022 by Record Makers through Virgin France. Co-produced alongside Gaspard Augé and Victor le Masne, it includes collaborations with Romuald, Cautious Clay, Sébastien Tellier, Kareen Lomax, Prudence and Morgan Phalen. The album was preceded by the singles "Renegade" and "Zenith". Critical reception On Metacritic, the album received an aggregate score of 76 out of 100 from five reviews, indicating "generally favorable" reception. Christopher Hamilton-Peach of ''The Line of Best Fit'' rated the album eight out of 10 and felt that "summer dancefloor hits carouse with the meticulously mercurial" on the album, summarising it as "a collection that future-proofs Kavinsky's curation of high-end production, addictive earworms and cinematic scope". Vincent Belorgey (born 31 July 1975), known professionally as Kavinsky, is a French musician, producer, DJ, and actor. His production style is reminiscent of the electropop film soundtracks of the 1980s. Kavinsky claims that his music is inspired by thousands of movies he watched as a young boy and that he has cherry-picked the best parts from them, consolidating them into one concept. Kavinsky has been compared to many similar French house artists, including Daft Punk and Danger. He achieved greater mainstream recognition after his song " Nightcall" was featured in the 2011 film ''Drive''. His debut studio album, ''OutRun'', was released in 2013. ''Loud and Quiet'' is a British bi-monthly music magazine that focuses on new music from underground indie, alternative, electronic and hip hop artists. History and profile The magazine was founded in January 2005 by Stuart Stubbs as a home-printed fanzine in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. It relocated to London in 2006. Issue 01 of ''Loud And Quiet'' featured Pete Doherty on its cover. Only 150 copies were published in a home-made fanzine style and distributed through independent record shops and clothes shops in London, England. Virgin Records is a record label owned by Universal Music Group. Phoenix is a French pop rock band from Versailles, formed in 1995.
