Reborn (Avalon Album)
''Reborn'' is Avalon's thirteenth release and their ninth studio album. It is the first album featuring Amy Richardson as a member of Avalon and the first full album to feature Jeremi Richardson. It also marks the first album with E1 Music as Avalon's new record label. Avalon Worship, originally known as Avalon, is an American contemporary Christian vocal quartet from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 1995. The group has earned multiple RIAA-certified gold records. The group currently consists of Janna Long, Greg Long, Jody McBrayer, and Dani Rocca. Group history 1995–97: Formation, debut, and ''A Maze of Grace'' Avalon was formed in 1995 in Nashville after Norman Miller of Proper Management took the idea of a vocal group to Grant Cunningham, A&R Director at Sparrow Records. Miller's vision was to have two male and two female vocalists who could sing tight harmonies and carry the Gospel to the world. Cunningham publicized his intentions and received many demo tapes, but nothing fit his desires. After letting the idea of Avalon rest a while, Cunningham attended an artist showcase in Nashville to listen to a singer. Janna Long
Janna (Kannada : ಮಹಾಕವಿ ಜನ್ನ) was one of the well-known Kannada poets of the early 13th century who also served in the capacity of a minister and a builder of temples. He graced the court of Hoysala empire King Veera Ballala II and earned the title ''Kavichakravarthi'' ("Emperor among poets"). His noteworthy writings include ''Yashodhara Charitre'' (c.1209) which deals with Jain tenets, ''Ananthnatha Purana'' (c.1230) which deals with the teachings of the 14th Jain tirthankara, Anantanatha and a short piece called ''Anubhava Mukura''. Paul Field is a British Christian musician and songwriter who has been active since the mid-1970s first with Nutshell and then later as a solo artist. He has continued to write music and his works have won several awards. Background He began his career in the early 1970s with the folk trio called Jesus Revolution. The group, including Heather Bennett and Pam Thiele, renamed itself as Nutshell and recorded two albums. Tony Wood is an American songwriter working primarily in the contemporary Christian music (CCM) genre. He has received five Gospel Music Association Dove Awards for songwriting. Early and personal life Wood was raised in Chase City, Virginia and graduated from Bluestone High School ( Skipwith, VA) and Averett College (now University in Danville, VA.) In 1987 he graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC).
