The Rebelution
The Rebelution is a Christian ministry/organization directed at youth, describing itself as "a teenage rebellion against low expectations." It was founded in August 2005 by twin brothers Alex and Brett Harris, younger brothers of best-selling author and former pastor, Joshua Harris. About At age 16, Alex and Brett started a blog called ''The Rebelution''. Since then, the Rebelution movement has grown to include a website and international speaking tour. Expanding on the topic of the blog, the Harris brothers have published two books for Christian teenagers, '' Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations'' (2008) and ''Start Here: Doing Hard Things Right Where You Are'' (2010) with WaterBrook Multnomah, a division of Random House. Rebelution is a reggae rock music band formed in Isla Vista, California. The current members of Rebelution are Eric Rachmany, Rory Carey, Marley D. Williams, and Wesley Finley. Each member attended and completed school at the University of California, Santa Barbara. History Formation and ''Courage to Grow'' (2004–2007) Rebelution was formed in the college town of Isla Vista, California, in 2004. The five original band members were Eric Rachmany, Matt Velasquez, Rory Carey, Marley D. Williams, and Wesley Finley, who were all University of California, Santa Barbara students. Throughout 2004–2005, Rebelution began to build momentum through consistently playing local shows and by independently releasing an EP. All four current members graduated from UC Santa Barbara, getting degrees in religious studies (Rachmany), anthropology (Finley), film studies (Williams), and business economics (Carey). Pitbull Starring In Rebelution
''Pitbull Starring in Rebelution'' is the fourth studio album by the Cuban-American rapper Pitbull. It was released on August 28, 2009, through J, Polo Grounds and Mr. 305. The production on the album was handled by multiple producers including DJ Khalil, Dr. Luke, Lil Jon, Play-N-Skillz and Jim Jonsin who also served as executive producer. The album also features guest appearances by B.o.B, Ke$ha, Nayer, Akon, Lil Jon and Slim of 112. This became his first major-label release, his first album to be released on his own Mr. 305 Inc. label and also Polo Grounds' second release since Hurricane Chris's ''51/50 Ratchet''. ''Pitbull Starring in Rebelution'' was supported by four singles: " Krazy", "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)", " Shut It Down" and "Hotel Room Service". The album received generally positive reviews from music critics and was a moderate commercial success.
