Rebel Love
''Rebel Love'' is a 1985 drama film written and directed by Milton Bagby and starring Jamie Rose and Terence Knox. It was distributed by Troma Entertainment. Set during the American Civil War, the film follows a Yankee war widow (played by Rose) who takes an injured Confederate spy (played by Knox) into her home out of pity, only to find herself falling in love with him. The picture was shot on locations in Birmingham and Bessemer, Alabama during the summer of 1983, with many scenes filmed at the Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park. Troma Entertainment is an American independent film production and distribution company founded by Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz in 1974. The company produces low-budget independent films, primarily of the horror comedy genre. Many of them play on 1950s horror with elements of farce, parody, gore and splatter. The Tannehill Ironworks is the central feature of Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park near the unincorporated town of McCalla, Alabama, McCalla in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. Jamie Rose (born November 26, 1959) is an American actress and acting instructor. Born in New York City, Rose was raised in Southern California, where she began her career as a child actor, first appearing in commercials.
