Rebecca Zlotowski
Rebecca Zlotowski (born 21 April 1980) is a French film director and screenwriter. Education A former student at prestigious Ecole Normale Supérieure, Rebecca Zlotowski received her teaching qualification in French modern literature in 2003. She graduated in 2007 at la Femis in scriptwriting section. Career Her first feature film, ''Belle Épine'', is her graduation project at La Fémis, written under the guidance of her mentor Lodge Kerrigan. It was presented in competition at the 49th Critics' Week and won the Louis Delluc Prize for Best First Film in January 2011, as well as the French critics' union prize for Best First Film. Léa Seydoux was nominated for a César Award for Most Promising Actress. Deauville American Film Festival
The Deauville American Film Festival (french: Festival du cinéma américain de Deauville, link=no) is a yearly film festival devoted to American cinema, which has taken place since 1975 in Deauville, France. It was established by Lionel Chouchan, André Halimi, and then Mayor of Deauville Michel d'Ornano, with support from the Groupe Lucien Barrière in providing a luxurious setting for the Festival. Although not competitive at its origin, the festival began to award prizes for feature films in 1995 and short films in 1998. 73rd Venice International Film Festival
The 73rd annual Venice International Film Festival was held from 31 August to 10 September 2016. English director Sam Mendes was the President of the Jury for the main competition. The opening night film was Damien Chazelle's musical '' La La Land''. The Golden Lion was awarded to Lav Diaz's film '' The Woman Who Left''. A new project named Venice Production Bridge was introduced in this edition of the festival. The new project is intended to attract industry professionals and focus on original projects for films, internet, series, virtual reality, and works in progress, in order to help their development and production. It is also meant to work in conjunction with the Venice Film Market which started in 2012. François Chalais Prize
The François Chalais Prize (French: ''Prix François Chalais'') is awarded at two main events, the Cannes Film Festival (since 1997) and the Young Reporters' Awards (since 1999).
