Rebecca Wiasak
Rebecca Wiasak (born 24 May 1984) is an Australian track cyclist. She represented her nation at the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships where she became a world champion in individual pursuit. In January 2015 she was announced as part of the inaugural line-up for the High5 Dream Team. In 2017, Wiasak raced domestically for ACTAS on the track, for High5 Dream Team in Australia and in the United States of America for Fearless Femme Racing on the road. In 2009 Wiasak represented Australia in Lithuanian World Games competing in women's basketball. After missing out of selection to compete at a major international Games at the Glasgow 2014 and Rio 2016, Wiasak was selected for her first Commonwealth Games. The cycling competitions of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro were held at four venues scheduled to host Eighteen events between 6 August and 21 August. Bay Classic Series
The Bay Classic Series (currently running as the Lexus of Blackburn Bay Crits) is a road cycling race held annually in and around Port Phillip Bay in Victoria, Australia. The race consists of both a men's and a women's competition over three stages. The men's stages are approximately one-hour criteriums (45 minutes plus 10 laps) with three sprints at 15-minute intervals. The women's stages are approximately 45-minute criteriums (30 minutes plus 10 laps) with two sprints at 15-minute intervals. Points are awarded to the first 10 riders at the finish (12, 10, 8 to 1). Additional points are awarded in the intermediate sprints to the first three places (3, 2 & 1 points) towards a separate sprint classification. Australian National Criterium Championships
The Australian National Criterium Championships cover several different categories of Australian road bicycle racing events, normally held annually. The elite event is normally held in the December the preceding year, for example the 2009 championships were held on 14 December 2008, and the 2008 championships were held on 2 December 2007. Occasionally the event will be held in January and under 23 events combined with the elite race. Each year the championships are held in a different location, often incorporated in other annual criterium events. The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic cycling jersey featuring green and yellow stripes, which can be worn by the rider at other criterium events in the country to show their status as national champion. The Australian National Time Trial Championships, are held annually with an event for each category of rider: Men, Women & under 23 riders. The event has been run concurrently with the Australian National Road Race Championships since 2002. The Australian Championships have officially been known as the Scody Australian Open Road Cycling Championships since 1999, taking the name of their main sponsor, but are more commonly referred to as ''The Nationals''. Lauren Perry (born 5 April 2001) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Montrose in the Scottish Women's Premier League and for the Northern Ireland national team. Georgia Baker (born 21 September 1994) is an Australian professional racing cyclist. She rode in the women's team pursuit at the 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. Ashlee Ankudinoff (born 20 August 1990) is an Australian professional Cycle sport, racing cyclist. Biography Ankudinoff was born in Sydney, New South Wales. She began competitive cycling at the age of fifteen on the road. Ankudinoff was a member of the gold medal-winning team pursuit squad, and also took the victory in the individual pursuit at the UCI Junior Track World Championships in 2008.
