Rebecca Norris Webb
Rebecca Norris Webb (born 1956) is an American photographer. Originally a poet, her books often combine text and images. An NEA grant recipient, she has work in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and The Cleveland Museum of Art. Her photographs have appeared in ''The New Yorker'', ''The New York Times Magazine'', ''Le Monde,'' and other magazines. She sometimes collaborates with photographer Alex Webb, her husband and creative partner. Life and career Norris Webb was born in Rushville, Indiana and moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota in 1972 at the age of 15. Her photography books often interweave photographs and spare text. Rushville, Indiana
Rushville is a city in Rushville Township, Rush County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 6,341 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of Rush County. It, like the county, was named in honor of Dr. Benjamin Rush, who signed the Declaration of Independence. History Rush County was formed from the unorganized Delaware County April 1, 1822. On July 29 town lots were sold and the town started to form. A school had already been started in 1821 by Dr. W.B. Laughlin, who was a member of the Legislature when the county was formed, and is considered the founding father of the town. A jail was built, Charles Veeder, was the first postmaster in 1822, and a courthouse was built in 1823. The ''Dog Fennel Gazette'' was published in 1823. Radius Books is a non-profit art book publishing company, with a focus on photography, fine art and monographs, located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Ami Vitale
Ami Vitale is an American photojournalist, documentary filmmaker, educator and speaker. In 2018, she published a photo book titled ''Panda Love'' which captures pandas within captivity and being released into the wild. Early life and education Vitale was born in Florida. She realized the potential of photography at a young age. She has a degree in International Studies from the University of North Carolina. Photography and filmmaking In 1994, Vitale joined the Associated Press (AP) as a picture editor in New York and Washington, D.C. She self funded her travel through her work with AP and left for the Czech Republic in 1997. She moved to Prague, Czech Republic, and spent a year covering the war in Kosovo, traveling back and forth to Prague, and spending a month at a time in the war zone. Gulnara Samoilova
Gulnara Samoilova (born 1964) is a Russian-born American photographer, living in New York City. Her work in New York City after the September 11 attacks won a World Press Photo award and is held in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Samoilova is the founder of the website, social media platform and travelling exhibition ''Women Street Photographers'', and edited a book of the same name. Life and work Samoilovas was born and grew up in Ufa, Bashkortostan, then part of the Soviet Union. After school she worked in a photo lab, then became a portrait photographer, and later a photojournalist for a local newspaper. She gained a diploma in photography from Moscow Polytech College. Pier 24 Photography is a non-profit art museum located on the Port of San Francisco directly under the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge. David Gibson (photographer)
David Gibson (1957) is a British street photographer and writer on photography. He was a member of the In-Public street photography collective. Gibson's books include ''The Street Photographer's Manual'' (2014) and ''100 Great Street Photographs'' (2017) / ''Street Photography: a History in 100 Iconic Images'' (2019).
