"Rearviewmirror" is a song by the American rock band Pearl Jam. The song is the eighth track on the band's second studio album, '' Vs.'' (1993). Although credited to all members of Pearl Jam, it was primarily written by vocalist Eddie Vedder. The song was included on Pearl Jam's 2004 greatest hits album, ''rearviewmirror (Greatest Hits 1991–2003)''. ''Rearviewmirror (Greatest Hits 1991–2003)'' is a two-disc compilation album by the American rock band Pearl Jam, released on November 16, 2004 through Epic Records. The album has been certified platinum by the RIAA in the United States. It was reissued in 2013 as ''The Essential Pearl Jam''. "Dissident" is a song by American rock band Pearl Jam, appearing as the fifth track on their second studio album, '' Vs.'' (1993). It was written by band members Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Dave Abbruzzese. According to Vedder, "Dissident" is about a woman who secretly shelters a refugee but eventually turns him into the authorities because she cannot support him any longer, leading her to feel guilty about her decision. Eddie Jerome Vedder (born Edward Louis Severson III; December 23, 1964) is an American singer, musician, and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist and one of four guitarists of the rock band Pearl Jam. It was released on VHS and DVD on May 1, 2001. Overview DVD extras include a montage of the band's European tour (set to "Yellow Ledbetter"), a montage of outtakes of the band (set to "Smile"), and the Matt Cam feature with which you can watch selected songs from the camera focused on drummer Matt Cameron. EBow
The EBow, short for electronic bow or energy bow, is an electronic device used for playing string instruments, most often the electric guitar. It is manufactured by Heet Sound Products, of Los Angeles, California. It was invented by Greg Heet in 1969, introduced in 1976 and patented in 1978. The EBow uses a pickup in an inductive string driver feedback circuit, including a sensor coil, driver coil and amplifier, to induce forced string vibrations. Pearl Jam is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1990.
