Real Unión De Tenerife (women)
Unión de Tenerife (also known as Real Unión de Tenerife Tacuense) is a Spanish Women's association football, women's Association football, football team based in Madrid, Tenerife that play in Primera División (women), Segunda División Pro. It is the women's section of Real Unión de Tenerife. They were founded in 1998, and currently plays their home matches at the ''Campo de Fútbol Pablos Abril.'' History In 2002 UD Tacuense promoted to Segunda División (women), Segunda División. Fourteen seasons later, on 22 June 2016, Tacuense promoted to Primera División (women), Primera División. They were relegated again at the end of the 2016–17 Primera División (women), 2016–17 Primera División season. On 12 August 2020, Tacuense merged with Real Unión de Tenerife CF, Real Unión de Tenerife and was integrated into its structure. San Cristóbal De La Laguna
San Cristóbal de La Laguna (commonly known as La Laguna, ) is a city and municipality in the northern part of the island of Tenerife in the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, on the Canary Islands, Spain. 2020–21 Segunda División Pro (women)
The 2020–21 Segunda División Pro, named Reto Iberdrola for sponsorship reasons, was the 20th season of the second highest league tier of women's football in Spain, and the second season under a new two-group format. The system was adapted for this year only to two phases (initially split into four small groups on a geographical basis, then into four groups again to decide promotion and relegation) due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain and its related restrictions, which included all matches being played in empty stadiums, and the involvement of two more teams than the usual 32 after relegation was disregarded in the previous edition, while teams still came up from the third tier. The 2018–19 Segunda División Femenina de Fútbol was the 18th edition of the Spanish women's football second-tier league. Competition format The Segunda División was divided into seven inter-regional groups. Each group played their season as home and away round-robin format. The seven group champions (for group 6, the winner of the Canarian final) and the best runner-up qualified for the promotion playoffs. In the promotion playoffs, the eight teams were divided by draw into two groups of four teams that played a double-leg knockout format. The two winners promoted to the Primera División. 2011–12 Segunda División (women)
The 2011–12 Segunda División de Fútbol Femenino was the 21st edition of the second category of the Spanish women's football national championship. The competition was renamed, having been previously known as Primera Nacional, and a seventh group was created; the groups were rearranged and redistributed by regions as shown in the table below. The promotion play-offs were consequently expanded from six to eight teams, and held as two single-match rounds instead of two triangulars. Sevilla FC and FC Levante Las Planas were promoted after beating CD Femarguín and UD Tacuense in the final stage, held on May 26 – 27, 2012. |
