Reactionary (album)
''Reactionary'' is the sixth studio album by the band Face to Face. Released in 2000, it was recorded in January 2000. The band ran a promotion with MP3.com where fans could decide which songs ended up on the final version of the album. This was their last release with second guitarist Chad Yaro, who left the band in 2001 but would rejoin seven years later. Release ''Reactionary'' was released in June 2000. The band played shows with Saves the Day, Alkaline Trio, and New Found Glory between late August and early October. In January and February 2001, the band toured the US with H2O and Snapcase. In October 2001, guitarist Chad Taro had reportedly left the band. Face To Face (punk Band)
Face to Face is a punk rock band from Victorville, California, formed in 1991 by frontman Trever Keith, bassist Matt Riddle and drummer Rob Kurth. The band rose to fame with their 1995 album ''Big Choice'', featuring the radio hit " Disconnected" which received heavy rotation on KROQ radio in Los Angeles and appeared in the movies ''Tank Girl'' and ''National Lampoon's Senior Trip''. Face to Face officially split up in September 2004, allowing the band members time to focus on other projects. During that time all the band members played in a number of post-Face to Face projects including Legion of Doom, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, The Offspring and Saves the Day. Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Vagrant Records is an American record label based in California. It was founded in 1995 by Rich Egan and Jon Cohen. The label focuses on rock, but features artists in a variety of other genres including folk, soul, electronic, and pop. Ignorance Is Bliss (Face To Face Album)
''Ignorance Is Bliss'' is the fifth studio album by the punk rock band, Face to Face. The album was released in 1999, and was a musical and lyrical departure from the pop-punk or skate-punk influenced music found on previous albums and EPs. Though an 'EconoLive 2' tour was done in promotion of the album, the band does not currently play any of the songs from the album while touring. Trever Keith flatly refused to play anything from this album on their minitour, according to an interview video on their official MySpace page. In 2012, the band had a change of heart and decided to go on tour and perform the entire album acoustically. This album's song "The Devil You Know (God's A Man)" is featured in the ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' first soundtrack album. The album was reissued in 2012 on Trevor Keith's own label, Antagonist Records, with the songs from ''Why Aren't You Happy?'' EP as bonus tracks. ''How to Ruin Everything'' is the seventh studio album by the punk rock band Face to Face, released in 2002 (see 2002 in music). As of the release date, ''How to Ruin Everything'' was Face to Face's only album since their 1992 debut ''Don't Turn Away'' without Chad Yaro on guitar. The band remained as a three-piece, marking the first time in over a decade that Face to Face had recorded and played live as a trio. Background and production Guitarist Chad Yaro left the band in 2000; frontman Trevor Keith said Yaro had spent a few years between focusing on the band, and his committing to his family. ''Ox-Fanzine'' is a monthly punk zine from Solingen, Germany, founded in 1988. It is edited by Joachim Hiller and has had many contributors. Besides its focus on punk subculture, it also covers similar genres, reviews of comics, books and films, and has included serial novels by authors such as Klaus N. Frick. By 2019, ''Ox'' had a circulation of 10,000 copies. History ''Ox-Fanzine'' was founded in 1988 by Joachim Hiller and Biggi Häußler in Heidenheim an der Brenz (Southern Germany). Its first issue was published in January 1989. The zine was named after the cat of Häußler, which appeared on the first cover. After some time, ''Ox'' merged with the zine ''Faces the Facts'' and was joined by its editor Thomas Hähnel, but eventually Häußler and Hähnel left it to focus on other endeavours, leaving Hiller as the only editor. Saves the Day is an American Rock music, rock band from Princeton, New Jersey, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Chris Conley, guitarist Arun Bali, and bassist Rodrigo Palma. After forming under the name Sefler in 1994, Saves the Day released their debut studio album, ''Can't Slow Down (Saves the Day album), Can't Slow Down'', in 1998. It was followed by ''Through Being Cool'' (1999), which featured their first single, "Shoulder to the Wheel". Alkaline Trio
Alkaline Trio is an American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Since 2001, the band has consisted of Matt Skiba (vocals, guitar), Dan Andriano (vocals, bass) and Derek Grant (drums, vocals). Founded in late 1996 by Skiba, bassist Rob Doran, and drummer Glenn Porter, Alkaline Trio released its debut single, "Sundials", in 1997. Following its release, Doran departed from the band and was replaced by Andriano. New Found Glory (formerly A New Found Glory) is an American rock band from Coral Springs, Florida, formed in 1997. H2O is an American hardcore punk band formed in New York City in 1994. History Formation and the Epitaph years (1994–2000) While touring as a roadie for Sick of It All, Toby Morse would sometimes sing with the band during encores. In late 1994 Morse decided to start his own band and formed H2O in the Lower East Side of Manhattan with Rusty Pistachio and Eric Rice. The band included his brother, Todd Morse, and Todd Friend, both formerly members of Outcrowd, who had released the albums ''New Music Solution'' (1988), ''Weathered'' (1992) and ''Healer'' (1994). Snapcase was an American hardcore punk band from Buffalo, New York. Their records were released on the Chicago record label Victory Records. During the course of the band's initial run of fourteen years, they released six studio albums before disbanding in 2005. Background Formation The band was originally conceived in 1989 in a basement in West Seneca, New York, and was named Solid State. In 1989, the lineup was guitarist Scott Dressler, then 15 years of age, 17-year-old drummer Mike Kimaid, Daryl Taberski, age 18 on bass, and Tiger Balduf, the eldest at 19 on vocals.
