''Reaching for the Stars Original Soundtrack'' () is the soundtrack for the 2005 Taiwanese drama, '' Reaching For The Stars'', starring Selina Ren, Hebe Tian and Ella Chen of S.H.E. It was released on 28 September 2005 by HIM International Music with a bonus DVD containing four music videos, behind-the-scene footage and a photobook. The track "星光" (Star Light) was nominated for ''Top 10 Gold Songs'' at the Hong Kong TVB8 Awards, presented by television station TVB8, in 2005. Mandopop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Standard Chinese, Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the School campus song, Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s. HIM International Music () is a Taiwanese independent record label and artist management company established in 1999. It was previously known as Grand Music International Inc. (宇宙國際音樂股份有限公司). It is an International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) member record company. History HIM International Music started off as two different labels, Grand Music and Tiger Music. Power Station () is a Taiwanese rock duo, composed of Yu Chiu-hsin (尤秋興) and Yen Chih-lin (顏志琳), both of the Paiwan tribe of Taiwan's Pingtung County. Their music is characterized by their energetic rock ballads, as well as their electrifying rock anthems.
