Retinoblastoma
Retinoblastoma (Rb) is a rare form of cancer that rapidly develops from the immature cells of a retina, the light-detecting tissue of the eye. It is the most common primary malignant intraocular cancer in children, and it is almost exclusively found in young children. Though most children survive this cancer, they may lose their vision in the affected eye(s) or need to have the eye removed. Almost half of children with retinoblastoma have a hereditary genetic defect associated with retinoblastoma. In other cases, it is caused by a congenital mutation in the chromosome 13 gene 13q14 (retinoblastoma protein). Signs and symptoms Retinoblastoma is universally known as the most intrusive intraocular cancer among children. The chance of survival and preservation of the eye depends fully on the severity. Retinoblastoma is extremely rare as there are only about 200 to 300 cases every year in the United States. Looking at retinoblastoma globally, only 1 in about 15,000 children have ...

Right Back
In the sport of association football, a defender is an outfield position whose primary role is to stop attacks during the game and prevent the opposition from scoring. Centre-backs are usually positioned in pairs, with one full-back on either side to their left and right, but can be played in threes with or without full-backs. Defenders fall into four main categories: centre-back, sweeper, full-back, and wing-back. The centre-back and full-back positions are essential in most modern formations. The sweeper and wing-back roles are more specialised for certain formations dependent on the manager's style of play and tactics. Centre-backs are usually tall and positioned for their ability to win duels in the air. Centre-back The centre-back (also known as a central defender or centre-half, as the modern role of the centre-back arose from the centre-half position) defends in the area directly in front of the goal and tries to prevent opposing players, particularly centre-forwards ...

Réseau Breton
The Réseau Breton (RB) is a , standard gauge, and former , metre gauge, railway in Finistère, France, with a few kilometres of line in Côtes d'Armor, Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan. The hub of the system was Carhaix. The metre gauge lines were built with the capacity to be easily converted to standard gauge if necessary. History Background Brittany in the mid nineteenth century was a largely agricultural area. the quarrying of slate and granite also took place. Forests in inland areas had previously supplied timber for construction of buildings and shipbuilding at the larger coastal ports, but this industry had largely declined as the source material was exhausted and the land turned over to agriculture. Apart from roads, the first transportation system constructed in Brittany was the Canal de Nantes à Brest, started in 1811 and completed in 1842. Although the canal could carry high volumes of freight, it was slow, relying on horse-drawn barges. Railways The first standar ...

Atmospheric Entry
Atmospheric entry is the movement of an object from outer space into and through the gases of an atmosphere of a planet, dwarf planet, or natural satellite. There are two main types of atmospheric entry: ''uncontrolled entry'', such as the entry of astronomical objects, space debris, or bolides; and ''controlled entry'' (or ''reentry'') of a spacecraft capable of being navigated or following a predetermined course. Technologies and procedures allowing the controlled atmospheric ''entry, descent, and landing'' of spacecraft are collectively termed as ''EDL''. Objects entering an atmosphere experience atmospheric drag, which puts mechanical stress on the object, and aerodynamic heating—caused mostly by compression of the air in front of the object, but also by drag. These forces can cause loss of mass (ablation) or even complete disintegration of smaller objects, and objects with lower compressive strength can explode. Crewed space vehicles must be slowed to subsonic speed ...

SJ Rb
Rb is an electric locomotive operated by Swedish State Railways ( sv, Statens Järnvägar, SJ). Six locomotives were built by ASEA, in three series designated Rb1, Rb2 or Rb3. History During the 1950s SJ saw the need for a new universal locomotive, since the D-series was aging. In 1955 the Ra-series had proved successful with bogie wheels. At the same time there was interest to make a locomotive that could be exported abroad. The result was an agreement between ASEA and SJ where six test engines were delivered. The testing of the Rb was successful, so it was sent to Romania for trials in 1965 for the Brasov- Predeal mainline (at the time it was electrified since 9 June 1963 and 3 more manufacturers tested their locomotives there the previous years), and later in Yugoslavia in 1967, and based on this exports were made to the Yugoslav Railways ( JŽ class 441 and 461), Căile Ferate Române of Romania ( CFR Class EA and EC) and for Norwegian Railways ( NSB El 15, derived from th ...

Hyundai RB (buses)
The Hyundai RB (hangul:현대 알비, 현대RB) is a series of rear engine coaches manufactured by the South Korean Hyundai Motor Company. Most models of the coach are distinguishable by a rear engine, at coach model is commonly referred to as "RB" or Rear engine Bus, but the common Hyundai badge is usually used on the rear. In Japan, Asia-Pacific, Mid-East, Africa, South America, its principal competitors are Asia AM, Daewoo BV. Model concept The RB family of bus and coach chassis was evolved from designs made by Hyundai's Thames commercial vehicle subsidiary until 1978. The engine was mounted at the rear of the vehicle, and a passenger entrance was provided ahead of the front axle, opposite to the driver. The original RB520 and RB585 models later became the RB520 and RB585 automatics, and with constant revision and upgrading, they gave way to the RB600 by 1986. In an attempt to lower the floor height of the vehicle, the supercharged diesel engine was tilted over to one si ...

Task Control Block
The Task Control Block (TCB) contains the state of a task in, e.g., OS/360 and successors on IBM System/360 architecture and successors. The TCB in OS/360 and successors In OS/360, OS/VS1, SVS, MVS/370, MVS/XA, MVS/ESA, OS/390 and z/OS, the TCB contains, among other data, non-dispatchability flags and the general and floating point registers for a task that is not currently assigned to a CPU. A TCB provides an anchor for a linked list of other, related request blocks (RBs); the top-linked RB for a TCB contains the Program status word (PSW) when the task is not assigned to a CPU. When the control program's dispatcher selects a TCB to be dispatched, the dispatcher loads registers from the TCB and loads the PSW from the top RB of the TCB, thereby dispatching the unit of work. Request Blocks OS/360 has the following types of request blockss ; Interruption Request Block : An IRB is used to handle an asynchronous exit. ; Program Request Block : A PRB represents a module invoked wit ...
