Razundara Tjikuzu
Razundara Tjikuzu (born 12 December 1979) is a Namibian former professional footballer who spent most of his career playing in Germany and Turkey and who represented Namibia at international level. Career In Germany Born in Swakopmund, South West Africa, Tjikuzu moved to Germany as a 14-year-old in 1995, joining SV Werder Bremen. At Werder Bremen, he rose through the youth ranks spending four years in the club's academy before being promoted to the reserves in 1998 and playing in the Regionalliga Nord, Germany's third tier at the time. On 14 August 1999, Tjikuzu made his debut for the first team in the Bundesliga at the age of 19. He went on to make made 25 league appearances in his first season. In 2003, after eight years at Werder Bremen and having made 86 appearances in all competitions for the club, he was told to search for a new club. Swakopmund
Swakopmund (german: Mouth of the Swakop) is a city on the coast of western Namibia, west of the Namibian capital Windhoek via the B2 main road. It is the capital of the Erongo administrative district. The town has 44,725 inhabitants and covers of land. The city is situated in the Namib Desert and is the fourth largest population centre in Namibia. Swakopmund is a beach resort and an example of German colonial architecture. 1998–99 Regionalliga
The 1998–99 Regionalliga was the fifth season played in the Regionalliga as the third tier of German football. As in the previous season, the competition was organized in four divisions: Nord, Nordost, West/Südwest and Süd. Each division had 18 teams with the exception of the West/Südwest division with only 17. Nord VfL Osnabrück remained in the Regionalliga, because they lost in the play-offs against Chemnitzer FC. As the loser of the North-Northeast play-offs, Osnabrück competed in another play-off against Eintracht Trier and Kickers Offenbach, but could not qualify for promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. The DFL-Ligapokal (, officially Premiere Ligapokal , previously DFB-Ligapokal ) or the ''German League Cup'' was a German football competition that took place before the start of the Bundesliga season, featuring the top five teams of the previous Bundesliga season and the winners of the DFB-Pokal in Germany. The cup was known as the Premiere-Ligapokal after 2005, when Premiere, a German pay television network, took up sponsorship of the competition. The Ligapokal was not held in 2008 due to schedule crowding caused by the UEFA Euro 2008. Instead, the German Supercup was held on 23 July. The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga. The 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the MTN Africa Cup of Nations due to the competition's sponsorship by MTN, was the 26th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial football tournament for nations affiliated to the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament was staged at four venues around Ghana between 20 January and 10 February 2008. This was the last Africa Cup of Nations to use the old CAF logo.
