Raymond Ekevwo
Raymond Ekevwo (born 23 March 1999) is a Nigerian Sprint (running), sprinter. He is the 2019 African Games champion in the Athletics at the 2019 African Games – Men's 100 metres, 100 metres. He was also a member of the Nigeria at the 2019 African Games, Nigerian relay team that won a silver medal at the games. Ekevwo's athletic talent had been obvious since his school days. In 2015, while still a student at High Standard Comprehensive School, Ughelli, he auditioned for the Making of Champions Reality TV athletics competition, Top Sprinter. He eventually had all judges trying to get him on their teams. He won the senior 100 m title and prize at the 2016 edition of the competition while still a junior. He became the Nigerian junior champion in the 100 metres at the 2016 D K Olukoya Youth and Junior Championships winning with a then personal best of 10.35 s. Usheoritse Ese Itsekiri (born 31 January 1998) is a Nigerian sprinter. He was the 2018 Nigerian National Sports Festival champion and the 2019 African Games bronze medallist in the 100 metres. He also won a silver medal in the relay at these games. At the 2019 Nigerian Championships in Kaduna, he took both the 100 and 200 metres titles. These were his first senior national titles. This effectively ended Seye Ogunlewe's streak of three consecutive national titles in the 100 m. He had previously been the national junior champion in 2017, in a race that saw him deny Raymond Ekevwo a successful defense of the junior title. Ejowvokoghene Divine Oduduru (born 7 October 1996) is a Nigerian sprinter specializing in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. He holds personal bests of 9.86 seconds for the 100 m and 19.73 seconds for the 200 m. The latter is a Nigerian national record.
