Raymond Ablack
Raymond Ablack (born November 15, 1989) is a Canadian actor and comedian. He began his career in the early 2000s as a child actor on stage, performing as Young Simba in ''The Lion King'' at the Princess of Wales Theatre. He later gained recognition for playing Sav Bhandari in the teen drama television series '' Degrassi: The Next Generation'' (2007–2011). From 2014 to 2017, Ablack starred in the web series ''Teenagers''; he was nominated for an International Academy of Web Television Award and won an Indie Series Award for his performance in 2016. He is also known for his supporting roles in the television series ''Orphan Black'' (2013–2016), '' Narcos'' (2017), ''Shadowhunters'' (2016–2018), '' Burden of Truth'' (2019), '' Ginny & Georgia'' (2021), and '' Maid'' (2021). Indo-Guyanese or Indian-Guyanese, are people of Indian origin who are Guyanese nationals tracing their ancestry to India and the wider subcontinent. They are the descendants of indentured servants and settlers who migrated from India beginning in 1838 during the time of the British Raj.
