Rachel Agatha Keen, (born 24 October 1997) known professionally as Raye (stylised in all caps), is a British singer and songwriter. In 2016, she rose to prominence by featuring on the singles; " By Your Side" by Jonas Blue and " You Don't Know Me" by Jax Jones, the latter peaking at number three on the UK Singles Chart and both being certified platinum or higher by the BPI. Raye was short-listed for the BBC Music Sound of... award for 2017 and was named in third place. Her debut mini-album, ''Euphoric Sad Songs'' was released in November 2020 and spawned in the UK top-10 single "Secrets". In July 2021, Raye parted ways with her record label Polydor Records. The balancing of incoming and outgoing water allows the Canal du Midi to operate as it does. Each time a lock operates, large quantities of water are either required to fill it or dump from it into the lower level pound. There must be a constant source of water in order to fill and the excess water dumped must have a place to exit the canal without it overflowing. Being able to provide this water source was one of the most important problems to be solved by Pierre Paul Riquet, its creator. In the canal's original configuration of 1687, water was provided by the Rigole de la plaine from the River Sor and from the Bassin de Saint-Ferréol. The Bassin de Lampy was added later. Anse La Raye
Anse La Raye or Anse-La-Raye is the largest town and seat of the Anse la Raye District of Saint Lucia. It is located on the island's western side, near Marigot Bay, and has several examples of French and English colonial architecture. History The name ''Anse la Raye'' is derived from the rays that are found in the bay, the English translation means ''Bay of Rays''. Two rivers flow into the bay, these are the Grande Rivière de l'Anse la Raye and the Petite Rivière de l'Anse la Raye. "Rock-A-Beatin' Boogie" is a 1952 song composed by Bill Haley and first recorded by the Esquire Boys in 1952. Bill Haley and the Comets recorded the song in 1955 for Decca. The song was featured in the 1956 movie '' Rock Around the Clock''. Background Danny Cedrone recorded the first version of the song with his group the Esquire Boys and "nitery singer" Kay Karol. It was released as a 78 single on Rainbow 200, backed with "If It's Love You Want To Borrow" in December, 1952. A second recording of "Rock-A-Beatin' Boogie", released on Guyden 705-A, was recorded without piano accompaniment or Kay Karol. It reached no. 42 on the '' Cash Box'' pop singles chart on October 30, 1954. Susan Raye (born October 8, 1944) is an American country music singer. She enjoyed great popularity during the early and mid-1970s, and chalked up seven top-10 and 19 top-40 country hits, most notably the song " L.A. International Airport", an international crossover pop hit in 1971. Raye was a protegee of country music singer Buck Owens.
