Lawrence Emile Yarborough, Jr. (born February 26, 1962) is a former Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives who represented the state's 2nd district, including constituents in Granville and Person counties from 2015 to 2023. A businessman from Roxboro, North Carolina, Yarborough was elected to his first term in 2014. North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (also known as North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina A&T, N.C. The North Carolina House of Representatives is one of the two houses of the North Carolina General Assembly. The House is a 120-member body led by a Speaker of the House, who holds powers similar to those of the President pro-tem in the North Carolina Senate.
