Ray Farrell
Raymond "Ray" Farrell is a former Northern Irish professional darts player. Career Farrell reached the final of the 1985 Winmau World Masters, having beaten Bobby George, Jan Erik Paulsen, Steve Gittins and Tony Payne along the way before he was eventually beaten by Dave Whitcombe. Farrell then played in three successive World Championships, losing in the first round in each occasion. In 1987, he lost 3-2 to Alan Evans, in 1988 he lost 3-2 to Eric Bristow and in 1989 he was beaten 3-1 by Peter Evison. Farrell represented Team Northern Ireland in 1978, 1984 and 1985 with the players Steve Brennan, David Keery & Fred McMullan on the World Darts Federation. Farrell reached the final of the 1987 Nations Cup his team with Mitchell Crooks & Harold Sweeney and who losing to 10–1 over England with Bob Anderson, Eric Bristow & John Lowe. Wannabe (song)
"Wannabe" is the debut single by English girl group the Spice Girls. Written and composed by the group members in collaboration with Matt Rowe and Richard "Biff" Stannard during the group's first professional songwriting session, it was produced by Rowe and Stannard for the group's debut album, ''Spice'', released in November 1996. The song was written, composed, and recorded very quickly but the result was considered lacklustre by their label and was sent to be mixed by Dave Way. The group was not pleased with the result, and the recording was mixed again, this time by Mark "Spike" Stent. "Wannabe" is a moderately paced dance-pop song which features Mel B and Geri Halliwell rapping. Alan Evans
David "Alan" Evans (14 June 1949 – 12 April 1999) was a Welsh professional darts player and former World No. 1 who competed in the 1970s and 1980s. Evans was one of the early faces of television darts and had some tournament success in the 1970s, including scoring the first televised 180 in the 1973 Indoor League semi final. By the time that darts had gained major popularity in the early 1980s, Evans's form had faded and he wasn't in the limelight as much as Eric Bristow, John Lowe and Jocky Wilson, all of whom found fame and success from the game. Jason "Jacko" Barry (born February 13, 1975 in Dublin) is an Republic of Ireland, Irish former professional darts player who competes in the Professional Darts Corporation tournaments. Career Barry won a place in the 2007 World Grand Prix Darts, 2007 World Grand Prix, coming through a record-breaking field of 549 players at the Citywest Hotel, Dublin to qualify. He competed against World No. 16 Andy Jenkins in the first round and managed to push him to the limit, losing two sets to one. Mark Stephenson
Mark Stephenson (born 29 September 1976 from Yarm) is a former English professional darts player who has played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He was formerly an official, working as a marker. Career Stephenson fell one game short of qualifying for the 2007 PDC World Darts Championship, losing to Alan Tabern. He then fell two rounds short in qualifying for the 2008 PDC World Darts Championship, losing to Kirk Shepherd who eventually qualified and went on to reach the final. Stephenson finally qualified for the World Championship at the third time of asking, beating Jason Clark, Gary Welding and then Ray Farrell to earn one of the eight qualifying spots. The 2009 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship was the 16th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. The event took place at Alexandra Palace in London from 19 December 2008 and 4 January 2009. John Part was the defending champion, having won the PDC World Championship for the second time in the previous year's final against Kirk Shepherd. However, he was eliminated by Bill Davis on the opening night. Shepherd's poor form in 2008 continued, as he was also eliminated in the first round, by Dutchman Jan van der Rassel. The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC).
