Ray Cattouse
Ray Cattouse (born 24 July 1952) is a British former boxer who was British lightweight champion between 1980 and 1982 and fought for the European title. Career Born in Balham, London, and managed by Terry Lawless, Cattouse made his professional debut in September 1975, a points defeat to Barton McAllister. He was unbeaten in his next 18 fights, leading to a challenge for Johnny Claydon's BBBofC Southern Area lightweight title, the fight also an eliminator for the British title. Cattouse won, and went on to meet Dave McCabe in March 1980 for the British title. Cattouse stopped McCabe in the eighth round to become British champion. Cattouse successfully defended the title a year later against McCabe, stopping him in the fifteenth and final round. In February 1982 Cattouse challenged for Giuseppe Gibilisco's European title in Italy, the fight ending in a draw. Giuseppe Gibilisco (boxer)
Giuseppe "Joe" Gibilisco (born 1 May 1954) is an Italian former professional boxer who held the European lightweight title from 1981 to 1983. Career After emigrating with his family, he began his professional career in Australia with initially favorable results and then with ups and downs. On 7 October 1977 Gibilisco challenged Billy Mullholland for the Australian lightweight title, losing via points decision over fifteen rounds. He returned to Italy in the spring of 1978, managed by Umberto Branchini, and obtaining nine victories and only one draw, against Lucio Cusma, on 11 July 1979, in Rimini. On 10 May 1981, he defeated Charlie Nash in Dublin via sixth-round knockout (KO) to capture the European lightweight title. He successfully defended his European title against Jose Luis Heredia, scoring a ninth-round KO on 21 October in Taormina. David Alan McCabe (born 3 January 1981) is an English singer, songwriter and guitarist, the frontman of The Zutons and a former member of Tramp Attack. History McCabe was a member of Liverpool band Tramp Attack with Brookside actor Kristian Ealey. The band released their debut single "Rocky Hangover" in 2001, before McCabe left to form The Zutons. The band released 3 albums, before quietly disbanding in 2008. In 2008, McCabe collaborated with singer-songwriter Thea Gilmore on the song "Old Soul", which appeared on the album ''Liejacker''.
