Jørgen Henrich Rawert
Jørgen Henrich Rawert was a (16 August 1751 – 14 July 1823) was a Danish architect. He created the masterplan for the rebuilding of Copenhagen after the Great Fire of 1795 in his capacity of city architect and was also involved in many building projects, mostly of townhouses, often collaborating with Andreas Hallander. Early life and education Rawert was born in Christiania, where he became a cadet from the Military and Mathematical School in 1783. In 1775, he enrolled with the engineering troops in Copenhagen and moved to Denmark where he studied architecture under Caspar Frederik Harsdorff at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts between 1776 and 1778, winning both the small and large silver medals. In 1779 and 1791 he unsuccessfully competed for the large gold medal which would have won him a travel scholarship. Mechthild Rawert
Mechthild Rawert (born 3 November 1957) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has served as a member of the Bundestag from 2005 until 2017 and from 2020, representing Berlin's Tempelhof-Schöneberg district. Early life and career Rawert was born in Coesfeld, North Rhine-Westphalia. She holds a degree in adult education from the Free University of Berlin. Political career Rawert was a member of the German Bundestag from 2005 until 2017. During that time, she served on the Committee on Health (2005–2017) and the Committee on Food and Agriculture (2005–2009). In addition to her committee assignments, she chaired the German-Maltese Parliamentary Friendship Group from 2014 until 2017. Also from 2014 until 2018, Rawert was a member of the German delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
