KTM Class 92
The Class 92 is a type of electric multiple unit operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu on its KTM Komuter services. A total of 38 sets were built by CSR Zhuzhou of China, in 6-car formations. History The Class 92 was procured under a Malaysian Government initiative, National Key Result Area (NKRA) to reduce congestion and improve public transport with a specific RM2 billion allocation to KTMB to improve commuter rail efficiency. A sum of RM 1.894 billion was spent to procure these trains, with the remainder being spent on the improvement of signaling along the Putra-Mid Valley stretch and a ticketing system upgrade. The first EMU was delivered on 23 September 2011 and was expected to operate in revenue service by late December 2011. However, delays in testing led to the subsequent postponement of launch. Sultan Street Railway Station
Sultan Street railway station was a railway station located at the intersection of Jalan Sultan, Jalan Pudu and Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The station was opened in 1892 and was initially a through station on the line from (the later location of) Kuala Lumpur railway station to Ampang. The track from Kuala Lumpur ran through the middle of Foch Avenue (currently Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock), but this section was closed after some time. Now a terminus, Sultan Street station remained accessible from the main line via a junction at what is now Salak Selatan Komuter station. A new station building was constructed for the terminus station. The station's closure date is unknown, but it is still shown on the 1962 official Malayan topographical survey map. Railway electrification in Malaysia is a relatively recent development of rail transport in Malaysia. While the first railway in the country dates back to 1885, it was not until 3 August 1995 that the first electrified railway service, KTM Komuter, began operations. The term "railway electrification" mainly refers to the project to electrify the Keretapi Tanah Melayu's West Coast Line from Padang Besar to Johor Bahru, combined with the duplication of the single-track line and the elimination of level crossings. Rawang Railway Station
The Rawang railway station is a Train station, railway station in Rawang, Malaysia, Rawang, Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia that is served by the KTM Komuter (of the Port Klang Line since 2015) and the KTM ETS train services. It was the northernmost terminus for passenger services on the Rawang-Seremban Route since the start of the KTM Komuter service until 2015 when the trial route between Rawang and Port Klang began operating to cater to the KTM double track upgrading project.
