Wolfgang Rausch (born 30 April 1947) is a German former professional footballer who played as a defender. He made a total of 257 appearances in the Bundesliga during his playing career. Career Rausch was born in Aachen. In 1979, he left Germany for the United States where he signed with the Dallas Tornado of the North American Soccer League. Rausch played three outdoor and one indoor seasons with the Tornado. While with the Tornado, he also played the 1979–1980 Major Indoor Soccer League season on loan with the Detroit Lightning. In the fall of 1981, Rausch left the Tornado and signed with the New Jersey Rockets of the MISL. In 1982, he moved back outdoors with the Oklahoma City Slickers of the second division American Soccer League at the request of head coach Brian Harvey, an ex-teammate from the Tornado. During his season in Oklahoma, Rausch was also an assistant coach. After one season, he joined the newly established Dallas Americans as a player-coach. The A ... Marie Chilton Professor of Catholic Theology and professor of theological studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, having received his doctorate from Duke University. A systematic theologian specializing in the areas of Christology, ecclesiology, and ecumenism, he has published 22 books and over 280 articles and reviews. Edgar Leon Rausch (October 2, 1927 – May 14, 2019) was "the voice" of "Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys". Rausch was born in Billings, Missouri. He was lead vocalist from 1958 until the early 60s when he created his own band "The New Texas Playboys". In 1973, Wills asked Rausch to rejoin the Texas Playboys to record his final album ''For the Last Time''. After Wills died in 1975, Rausch and the original Texas Playboys continued to record and tour until the band played the final concert in 1986. Rausch performed each year at the Bob Wills day festival the last weekend of April in Turkey, Texas at the Bob Wills community center. The music of The Texas Playboys is "Western Swing." In 2011, the Texas Legislature adopted a resolution designating western swing as the official "State Music of Texas". He served as the second bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix in Arizona from 1977 until his death in 1981.
