Rauf Aliyev
Rauf Sahraman oğlu Aliyev ( az, Rauf Səhraman oğlu Əliyev, born 12 February 1989) is an Azerbaijani international footballer who plays as a striker for Azerbaijani club Kapaz. He made his national debut in an away friendly match against Jordan on 25 February 2010. Club career In August 2017, Aliyev signed for Kukësi. On 28 March 2018, Gabala FK announced the signing of Aliyev on a contract until the summer of 2019. On 10 June 2019, Aliyev signed one-year contract with Neftçi PFK. Fuzuli (city)
Fuzuli ( az, Füzuli ) is a city and the capital of the Fuzuli District of Azerbaijan. The city had a population of 17,090 before its capture by Armenian forces on 23 August 1993, during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, which resulted in the expulsion of the local Azerbaijani population and the city becoming a ghost town. On 17 October 2020, Azerbaijani forces recaptured the city during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war. History Russian rule Fuzuli was known as ''Qarabulaq'' until 1827 when it was renamed to ''Karyagino'' (). It was administrated as part of Dzhebrail Uyezd during the Russian Empire. The city later became the administrative center of the ''uezd'' ("county"), with the latter being eponymously renamed Karyaginsky Uyezd ( pre-reform Russian: Карягинскій уѣздъ). They finished the season in 4th place, and were knocked out of the 2011–12 Azerbaijan Cup at the Semi-final stage by FK Baku. The Qarabağ 2010–11 season was Qarabağ's 18th Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their third season under Gurban Gurbanov. They finished the season in 3rd place, and were knocked out of the 2010–11 Azerbaijan Cup at the Last 16 stage by Turan Tovuz. They also participated in the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League, entering at the first qualifying round stage. They beat Metalurg Skopje of Macedonia, before beating Portadown of Northern Ireland in the second qualifying round. The Azerbaijan Premier League ( az, Azərbaycan Premyer Liqası) is a professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Azerbaijan football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each (playing each team in the league four times, twice at home and twice away).
