Rational Rhapsody
Rational Rhapsody, a modeling environment based on UML, is a visual development environment for systems engineers and software developers creating real-time or embedded systems and software. Rational Rhapsody uses graphical models to generate software applications in various languages including C, C++, Ada, Java and C#. Developers use Rational Rhapsody to understand and elaborate requirements, create model designs using industry standard languages (UML, SysML, AUTOSAR, DoDAF, MODAF, UPDM), validate functionality early in development, and automate delivery of high structured products. Rational Rhapsody Model Manager (previous implementation, Design Manager, will be deprecated) is a web based application that stakeholders, developers, and other team members use to collaborate on the design of products, software, and systems. UPDM
The Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM) is the product of an Object Management Group (OMG) initiative to develop a modeling standard that supports both the USA Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and the UK Ministry of Defence Architecture Framework (MODAF). The current UPDM - the ''Unified'' Profile for DoDAF and MODAF was based on earlier work with the same acronym and a slightly different name - the ''UML'' Profile for DoDAF and MODAF. History The UPDM initiative began in 2005, when the OMG issued a Request for Proposal. This request was based on the then current versions of DoDAF (1.0) and MODAF (1.1). Telelogic AB was a software business headquartered in Malmö, Sweden. David Harel
David Harel ( he, דוד הראל; born 12 April 1950) is a computer scientist, currently serving as President of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities. He has been on the faculty of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel since 1980, and holds the William Sussman Professorial Chair of Mathematics. Born in London, England, he was Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the institute for seven years. Biography Harel is best known for his work on Dynamic logic (modal logic), dynamic logic, computability, database theory, software engineering and modelling biological systems. A state diagram is a type of diagram used in computer science and related fields to describe the behavior of systems. State diagrams require that the system described is composed of a finite number of states; sometimes, this is indeed the case, while at other times this is a reasonable abstraction. Many forms of state diagrams exist, which differ slightly and have different semantics. Overview State diagrams are used to give an abstract description of the behavior of a system.
