Rat Race (Enter Shikari Song)
"Rat Race" is a single by British rock band Enter Shikari. The song was first played on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio One show on the evening of 31 October 2013. The single was released with a remix of the song Radiate by Enter Shikari's alter ego Shikari Sound System. The band also released an EP, which compiled the two previous singles " The Paddington Frisk" and " Radiate". The "Rat Race" single peaked at #77 on the UK Singles Chart on 16 November 2013. Enter Shikari
Enter Shikari (stylised as enter: shikari and occasionally as ΣΠΤΣ℞ SΗΦΚ∆℞Φ) are a British rock band formed in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England in 1999 by bassist Chris Batten, lead vocalist and keyboardist Rou Reynolds, and drummer Rob Rolfe. In 2003, guitarist Rory Clewlow joined the band to complete its current line-up, and it adopted its current name. In 2006, they performed to a growing fanbase at Download Festival as well as a sold-out concert at the London Astoria. Zane Lowe
Alexander Zane Reid Lowe (born 7 August 1973) is a New Zealand radio DJ, live DJ, record producer, and television presenter. After an early career in music creation, production and DJing, he moved to the UK in 1997. He came to prominence through presenting on XFM and MTV Europe (MTV Two), developing a DJ career by opening sets for bands and eventually landing a slot on prime-time radio on BBC Radio 1 from 2003–2015, with the trademark 'Zane Lowe's World Record', airing the UK's best and hottest in music. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. "The Paddington Frisk" is a single by British rock music, rock band Enter Shikari. The music video was released on their YouTube channel on 4 April 2013 and the single was released the same day. Music video The music video was filmed in London by Kode Media under the direction of Jamie Korn and released on 5 April 2013. The video showcases the band on a Japanese game show where a girl gives a man in a crocodile suit a noose and the band performs a choreographed dance miming hanging themselves. At the end of the video, the camera pans out to show the band in a board meeting presenting the video to an executive, who has a shocked expression on his face, with the band smiling.
