Rasul Douglas (born August 29, 1995) is an American football cornerback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at West Virginia, and was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He has also been a member of the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Houston Texans, and Arizona Cardinals. Personal life Douglas grew up in East Orange, New Jersey, where he and his six other siblings were raised by his grandmother, and attended East Orange Campus High School. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section).
