Rashmi (film)
''Rashmi'' ( si, රශ්මි) is a 2022 Sri Lankan Sinhala action comedy film directed and produced by Preethiraj Weeraratne. The film stars Upeksha Swarnamali, Pubudu Chathuranga and Akalanka Ganegama in lead role whereas Jayasekara Aponso, Lucky Dias and Duleeka Marapana made supportive roles. It is the last film to be screened before the death of veteran actor Wilson Karu. The cameo appearances of the film done by Mahendra Perera, Susila Kottage, Manel Wanaguru, Manel Chandralatha, Miyuri Samarasinghe and Ruwanthi Mangala. Plot The film revolves around a woman called Rashmi who had a salon. She found her daily expenses from this small business. She is married to Amal who is a playboy. Iraj Weeraratne
Iraj Weeraratne (born 21 February 1981) is a Sinhalese R&B and hip hop artist and music producer. Weeraratne had a television show on Derana TV called "Iraj Show". He is known as a prominent hip-hop and RnB artist in Sri Lanka. He was the first person to introduce Sinhala rap as well as Tamil rap to Sri Lanka in 2004. Miyuri Samarasinghe
Wijeratne Miyuri Samarasinghe (15 March 1939 – 6 February 2021: as si, මියුරි සමරසිංහ), popularly as Miyuri Samarasinghe, was an actress in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television. Apart from acting, she also worked as a dancer, scriptwriter, producer and director. She was serving as the President of Sudarshi Institute. Personal life She was born on 15 March 1939 in Moratuwa. She first attended Holy Rosary Catholic School, Moratuwa and then went to Musaeus College.
